Has anyone ordered to Parcel Motel, any issues? Looking at the FlyMoreCombo, hopefully size is not an issue?

I can not imagine that there would be any issues, as there is no tax to pay and he package is not so big that PM would charge more.

The Spark has also dropped a lot in price, and if going for the FlyMoreCombo, use the code DJISCOMBO to get it for less than €600. (Pay in USD
    https://www.tomtop.com/dji-multicopter-1111/p-rm8000w-us.html

    The Drone alone is €398
    and with remote is €510

    Edited.

The Mavic pro combo is also called the FlymoreCombo on some sites...
But just in case, i will leave the links up :)

I purchased the Mavic Pro from TomTop yesterday.
How long roughly will I have to wait for delivery?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone had any problems with bird attacks? If so; what's the best way to deal with them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 652 ✭✭✭creativedrinker

I went for the Spark flymore combo, Its my first drone so I didn't wanna go all out. I can upgrade in the future if I want and hopfully not loose too much.

Ordered on Sunday and got my tracking code today, Its sitting in the Netherlands now waiting for collection. Got the cashback too so I'm waiting for that to process

Has anyone gotten the Dji care refresh? I'm tempted for 69eur...... I've a spare tile at home that I'm going to stick on it just incase.....

The spark is class. You made a great choice for your first Drone. Buying the remote was clever too as the WiFi with the phone alone gives no range.

Congratulations and let us know how you get on.

There's still not much boards drone footage around...

If you select any other colour other than white its €610. But the promo code doesn't work on them.

Got some great footage this evening now that I've finally really gotten to grips with the camera settings (over exposure, white balance etc etc) unfortunately I'm not willing to post them it as it features my house, my company logo, and unfortunately me myself, and I have absolutely no idea how to edit any of it out :o

I bought the Mavic Pro Combo on TomTop today for €979.54 (purchasing in USD via PayPal was showing as more expensive), the cashback has now shown in TopCashback as £101.39 (~€110)

The Mavic Pro Combo on DJi right now is €1499 in the sale.

With the cashback and the discount code that is a saving of nearly €520! Not bad!

Hopefully delivery will be quick and the TopCashback clears in 12 weeks!

I may be wrong but i was not sure enough to give these a thread on their own.

If you pay in USD The Syma X20-S is €14.45 and the X20 is €13.60

They both have a different style of controller and would be considered indoor drones. They are fairly small (as can be seen in the pictures).
They have altitude hold and the X20-S also has a gravity sensor. More information is in the links if you scroll down.
I was just charged €27.94 for both.

A selfie drone is also available for €16. https://www.rcmoment.com/rtf-ready-to-fly-1994/p-rm8288.html

Windows media player does a decent enough job if you want to dip your feet into editing.and it's free.

What one is that? Is that the new Windows 10 Story Remix?
Ive always liked the Movie Maker (the older XP one was the best) - The current ones dont accept Mavic Pro videos as source content though

The DJI SkyPixel is ok as an editor - but I dont see how you can get your movie without sharing it with the world...

Lightworks is crippleware unfortunately, not free unless you are happy with 720p - about 140 euros (+vat) per year to rent it.

Thanks - but It seems to be a third party plugin addon for media player rather than media player itself - it just trims files - not free and and I'm not sure its lossless either.

There are a few free tools that will do lossless trimming of mp4 files -
    https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut
    http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/avidemux.htm-5

Lossless is cool as it means that you can trim and split files very very fast as the file doesn't get recompressed - plus you keep the video quality also.

They are all not a full editor though (no titles and effects etc)

I did some research a few months ago - but found no suitable free 4K mp4 editors - was hoping someone here might have one. Those splitters/trimmers were as close as I got.

Ill try the new free microsoft one (Windows 10 Story Remix) - that wasn't out then - and report back....

I do not have any problems running it, although i am running Linux, but i do not think i have ever heard anyone else calling it crippleware before or saying that it slows down their machine.

It is free though. There are a few versions. Paid versions and a free version. The free version does everything you would want it to, except only export to 720p.
