Though on weekly pay those months are quite the opposite of a TA :p

    True!

TA when you're sitting across from someone on public transport and they insist on looking at you the whole time. OK I know I am in your line of vision but it's generally accepted etiquette to shift your gaze slightly so you are looking out the window.

I agree with you and I'm practically a carnivore. However there are people, such as particular female journalist in the UK who bang on about being vegan because it's just a thing to say. The woman in question wears wool, leather, silk and eats eggs and cheese. When it's faked for attention 'tendency' is a polite word. When it's real. it's an ethical lifestyle choice on your part and I wish I had your resolve.

Isn't a vegan someone who doesn't eat any animal derived products? So no dairy or eggs?

Obligatory TA: An Post junk mail. Arrived home to a picture of Ryan Tubridy sticking in my letterbox. No I don't want to enter a Late Late competition. Any way I can be removed from their marketing database?

TA: I had a lovely big lunch and come back to see people arguing in a fun thread.

On the other side of that ^
TA Aldi or Lidl don't have an express checkout. If I'm doing a shop in Aldi/Lidl it's usually a big shop and I'll let as many people as needs to go in front of me as I'm loading the belt but where do you draw the line? That person may have let two or three people go ahead of her already and it sucks having to wait in line when there's a months shop on the belt but that customers time is not less important. She could be blue in the face leaving people in front of her. It's def a TA of mine when I'm after letting a few people ahead of me and someone with a few items is behind me and I look like a petty bitch not letting them go too

TA at the meanness of this. You should be behind Lexie next time! :P

TA I can't figure out the meaning behind texts and have spent the whole afternoon agonizing over what certain words might mean :( A simple phone call would have been best but no we are not grown up enough for that!

I knew someone who tried to stop her kid acting the maggot by telling him that he was making baby reindeer cry. Why she couldn't simply tell him he was making adults' ears bleed was beyond me.

Or simply that he was being an obnoxious little bollix. :pac:

I used to get it for a week or so in may. Now I have it for the whole summer.

LOL. Hilarious moment when an Irish student doesn't recognise the Taoiseach in busy US restaurant.

    A) It's not that hilarious. At all

    B) It's certainly not newsworthy.

The local wagon filling my news feed on every social media platform about her excitement at the impending arrival of her 'miracle gift from God' in February, complete with endless bump pics, scan photos, and intimate pictures of her partner hugging her stomach.

She's only with the guy about 3 months, I'd hardly call it a miracle. Time to unfollow. Can only imagine how irritating she'll be when junior arrives.

And certainly not worthy of interviews with various radio stations and news outlets retelling the "story".

    The story topper

Back from a few days in Mayoand tell my housemate I climbed Croagh Patrick and it was quite tough and I slipped twice on the way down but I was very happy with myself and showed a few photos

Takes one look, declares ah sure that looks easy.

Well go do it so

I was in a shop the other day and some stupid bint let her obnoxious child open all the doors for the ice cream freezers. They didn't buy any ice cream and the mother didn't ask the brat to close them again and didn't close them herself either, they just walked off. Made my blood boil.
TA: I ended up closing them myself in the end. Stupid OCD.

That must be so difficult. :(
I have only lately realised how difficult that condition must be to deal with.

People leaving freezers and fridges open in shops are a TA of mine also. And I find myself closing them. :o

I've heard such a person referred to as an Elevenerife before.

As in, you say you've been to Tenerife, they say they've been to...

But it makes a nice change from potential nuclear war, hideous racist marches and the search for some poor fella's remains.

How the hell do they think he is going to know when they've picked up the call and what they are saying when they ask the security questions? Is the phrase Hard of Hearing hard to understand?.

I knew a girl once like that. If you'd climbed Croagh Patrick she or someone she knew had climbed Everest. If you said you'd sliced off the tip of your finger she'd know someone who had been decapitated. Not her unfortunately.

There are always two receptionists behind the desk at the doctors and I never know which one to look at going in. They wear headsets and sometimes I don't know if they are talking to me or on the phone. Awkward:(

TA Aldi or Lidl don't have an express checkout.
Try the Lidl in Moore St., in Dublin centre - they have express checkouts. They're not really quicker, though - since people use them with those big baskets full.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

And it would only save you time if you were living locally. Could be a long way to travel for some to save time at the checkout!

My TA is the fruit in the canteen looks mank. No breakfast for me today.

Yes, but did you see her? I wouldn't believe it either😂

My TA is when a certain someone leaves a pot steeping in the sink with the little green scrubby thing left soaking in said pot....a breeding ground for all sorts.

TA now because I honestly don't know other peoples definition of shoving something down peoples throats. I hesitated to say this in case it sounded argumentative but it's genuine confusion. I might bring something up in conversation and unintentionally make people feel like I'm pushing my beliefs on them. Stressful.

Not a personal TA but all the tv/radio interviews for the happy leaving cert kids, some people don't do well and have to listen to that can be very disheartening to them, I honestly feel sorry for them and wish I could tell them its not the end of the world.
