I need to get a sim card as I already have the phone, is this an easy task and which is the best place to buy one?

Just go to whichever provider you want and get one. Or they'll post them if you wish.

You need to first decide if you want to go pay as you go or billpay. Your best bet is to check the various network websites and when you decide, you can either buy online and they will post you a sim or you can go to the nearest network shop. What you're looking for is called 'sim only'.
