I wouldn't even recommend it to comedy fans - It was a huge disappointment - a very over rated movie - it is alright at best.

I'm after finishing episode 7 of Ozark and I'm now finding it a chore to get through them tbh
6 episodes would have plenty for it and some of the plotlines/dialogue is just ridiculous

Watching it at he moment, 1st episode I was about to switch off due to the dubbing over the Spanish making the acting seem brutal.
Now I'm watching in Spanish with English subtitles, like narcos and it's really really good.

I never got past the first episode. I might give your method a shot.

I'd say most horror fans disagree, which is who he recommended it to.

What's with all the sniping on boards? You wouldn't recommend it to comedy fans, but you thought it was alright as a horror? You're making absolutely zero sense there.

Not just horror fans, it's received tremendous critical acclaim and is one of the strongest horror films in terms of theme, characterisation, cinematography and sound in years.

None of which means any given person will like it, or that there's anything wrong with that. But of course it's easier to act the plonker and suggest that nobody could possibly like a film, becauase as we all know, when the Internet is not for porn, it's for ludicrous hyperbole...

One of the few horror films I've seen in recent years that had any kind of serious directorial vision behind it TBH. Off the top off my head few films beyond The Shining utilise long takes as chillingly as It Follows does.

Enjoyed Ozark,it's got a nice crazy flow to it and just went on to Atipical, it a little bit different from the usual comedy, but having finished season one ,can recommend it.

Watched " Shadow Of Truth " last night.
Documentary about a murder in a high school, coerced confessions, it's got it all. Similar to making a murderer.

    Well worth a watch.

Relax - Its not a snipe - It's clearly not a comedy horror and it is very over rated in my opinion - you can agree or disagree - it's just an opinion

It's an opinion, sure, but it's not much in terms of promoting conversation since all you've said amounts to "Nah it's crap, everyone who raved about it is wrong". As far as a recommendation goes, that's of no use to anyone who hasn't already seen the film, unless they happen to have tremendous insight into your taste in films ;)

What didn't you like about it? Did you have any expectations of the story or the film-making before you watched it? Did the film meet them?

Personally, elements I really liked included the relentless pace of the thing, the use of long shots (particularly one where the camera revolves through a full revolution, while the viewer tries to work out the intentions of an individual getting ever closer), and the use of music & sound overall. I also greatly appreciated that the characters were not 2-dimensional archetypes of the kind dreadfully overused in slasher films and teen horrors, but instead felt (to me at least) like plausible individuals in their own right.

I don't read reviews or analysis of a movie until after I've watched it - All I want is the bottom line - worth a watch or not? I don't even watch trailers as I feel quite a few of them ruin movies these days.

Finished Ozark last night and would definitely recommend it!! Kind of slow and cold at the beginning but I grew into it. Not for everybody but I loved it. Thought the finale was incredible.

I began Atypical and love it. Perfect family show and the comedy is great imo.

Couldn't sleep last night and watched all eight episodes of Atypical. It wasn't bad at all, the Asian kid had me in stitches.

Shonda Rhimes cuts ties with ABC and is bring her production company to Netflix.

Her three main shows Grey's Anatomy, Scandal & How to Get Away with Murder will stay on ABC in the States but it lokks like they will move to Netflix everywhere in the world.

I can see this model being the way forward when it comes to TV. It certainly seems like the best way to cut out illegal streaming/downloading etc.
HBO and Sky Atlantic kind of already do it with Game of Thrones, for example, airing it in the UK the very next day.

No, this has nothing to do with her existing shows. It only means new shows she creates will be for Netflix.

You must have been asleep! I didn't find this funny at all. Especially the Asian kid!

In fairness i only managed to watch episode one but come on it's not funny at all.
.....Shy guy chatting to girl in shop. Friend in background making rude gestures....

That was funny 15 years ago.

Just watched the trailer for Disjointed with Kathy Bates. Looks awful.

Betting On Zero, documentary about Herbalife and it's sales practices.

A billionaire investor, who calls it the biggest pyramid scheme in history, thinks he can short the company's stock to zero, filmed over a few years.

    Found it very interesting.

Selfless is worth a watch. About a NYC tycoon who is dying and is reincarnated into another body.

It seems, with the exception of Ryan Reynolds, that all the American characters are in fact, played by English actors!!!
