How do Gabba 3s compare to Gabba 2s?

How do Gabba 3s compare to Gabba 2s?

    Its smaller than Gabba 2.
Gabba 2 in large was spot on for me but Gabba 3 in large has been returned as too tight. XL however was perfect.
Btw... Found that Gabba 1 and 2 tend to be little bigger than most Castelli tops. In this case large is comparable to normal XL size.

    Hope that helps

I bought a medium, I'm usually a small except for Italian gear but I probably couldv done with a large in this case. It fits but just about, gonna shift the few pounds rather than send it back tho. Good excuse to lay off the beer.

Some serious bargains in the Sigma Sport clearance sale

    https://www.sigmasport.co.uk/clearance

change location/currency to GBP/Sterling and send to parcel motel and it's even cheaper.

Like what though? Not seeing any jawdropping deals - just similar to the permanent sale Wiggle/Chain Reactions/Merlin have.

The gabba 2 is a great deal. Anytime it's under €100 you're doing well so at €87 it's a bargain.

Also the spesh gloves for €11 down from €30.

I'm on the search for a spare pair of biblongs & jersey suitable for 50-100k spins. I really don't have the experience to tell what's a bargain or not. If anyone's found a site selling discounted comfortable gear that you'd recommend I'd appreciate it.

That's what we need to read - what the specific bargains are rather than just saying X has some good deals.

Jesus..some people are just so ungrateful. The poster was pointing out a good sale. You want him to go through each item for you?

Yes, to be honest. It's how this thread has always worked.

There's little value in "Germany is great for bike stuff".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 59 ✭✭cjonesy1

Some people might not have been aware of the site and could have found a bargain in the clearance section. Not sure what the problem is?
What I wouldn't do is criticise someone trying to help out, especially if I've never contributed anything to the thread myself.

Total bargain, and no longer available, generally...

    SHIMANO Dura-Ace WH-9000-C50-CL

I resisted, my colleague at work didn't fare so well.

That's a ridiculous bargain. I thought I did well getting mine for €1200, that's an absolute steal. I've been racing on them this year and they are a great set of wheels.

Have Scicon bags on both my winter and summer bikes with the easy-twist locking mech. However, both have "broken" in the last 6 months, and although the locking motion still works, I hit a bump doing about 60kph on a descent today and immediately heard my saddle bag hit the road.......that's the 3rd time in 3 weeks so I'm going to have to supplement the existing locking set-up with some sort of mini bungee rope to keep it from taking further tumbles.

Disappointing outcome especially as the current bag is only on my bike since March this year, and still looks like new !

Jaysis! I use a Topeak bag - Ive 2 sizes depending on what I'm doing. This way I can leave the same locking mechanisms on the saddle and swap out the bag as needed. The Topeak bags have a velcro strap that goes around the seat post.

I ordered the race day bag - needed something to keep the kit, shoes and lid in the one place - as opposed to 3 different bags in the bottom wardrobe! :D I had a few bob in the paypal account, so along with the 30% off it worked out at €55! Down from @115 to €85...

Plus I could add my name and flag for no extra

After the last few posts, I am nearly (not quite, but nearly) afraid to post this.

There was a bargain posted here for inner tubes (700, 25-28) but it is over. I also thought I had a load in the shed, but when I opened the box, it was empty.

Does anyone know of a special on tubes (multi pack preferred) ? all I seem to be able to find is around €4, is that about the going rate at the minute?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,400 ✭✭✭cunavalos

postage and packing from planet x can be quite high for small items but there are a few option close to €3 (or use parcel motel / address pal / parcelwizard for possible extra savings)
    http://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/wheels/tyres-and-tubes/inner-tubes

Alternatively Halfords are doing a 5 for €12 offer on their own brand tubes in all sizes

Specialized Purist bottles with the Watergate valve are cheap on CycleStore at the mo - I find them better than Podiums, they stay put reliably in cages and, critically, their valves are so much easier to wash.
