im usually in the "its all about being there" camp
but I have been whinging about the line up this year, its grim
it is still about being there and i'll have a blast no doubt
but it would be nice to have a few acts to look forward to

really hoping for some decent middle tier acts in the tents,
theres very little this year, there was always some good stuff
in the my five years of going, off the top of my head, the likes of
The War on Drugs, FKA twigs, Joey Badass, Ride, Battles,
Animal Collective, Wild Beasts, Glass Animals, |Johnny marr, st vincent
metronomy.. etc etc, you get the gist

as always i usually discover someone that interested me
and am then raging that i wasnt more familiar with thsir stuff
    before EP!

anyone got any must see's that i need to swot up on?
im not interested in the straight up techno / house etc
but am partial to the more intersting dance music
and love me some hip hop and or funk
and indie bands as you can see above!"

    ta

Took me too long to realise this isn't a poem.

I think we've sort of similar tastes. For hiphop/grime I'm looking out for Run The Jewels, Vince Staples, Section Boyz, Krept and Konan, Rejjie Snow, A Tribe Called Quest. Not so much in to dancing but definitely not missing Bicep, Mura Musa and Annie Mac.

Vince Staples, Young Fathers and Rejjie Snow are hiphop
Kiasmos, Floating Points, Kelly Lee Owens, New Jackson are interesting electronic music
Jagwar Ma, Public Service Broadcasting, Bear's Den, Real Estate and Pond wouldn't be a million miles from The War on Drugs, Ride, Animal Collective etc.

Agree with the above, also try:

HipHop: Run the Jewels, A Tribe Called Quest(new albums great)
Electro: Soulwax, Klark Cant, Floating Points
Inide/Rock: Phoenix, Car Seat Headrest, The Lemon Twigs

And if you don't fancy any of those and you're of a certain age i believe there is a middle aged Smiths-themed bunch of Hooligans forming directly after These Charming Men play the Salty Dog to give the younger generations a good kicking.

Car Seat Headrest are going to be a major hit

Yep, i think Body & Soul will be hopping for Public Service Broadcasting too. Fearful of a clash with Tribe on that one.

    Rag N Bone Man
    Band of Horses
    Phoenix
    Car Seat Headrest
    Japandroids
    Eden
    Hudson Taylor
    Little Hours

Can anyone recommend a tent for this? I plan on getting a good nights sleep as I don't enjoy anything when I'm tired (I'm already trying hard enough as it is to get excited about going to this) and I don't want to spend a fortune. 2 people will use the tent but I'd rather get a 4 man tent for storage space. Any suggestions are appreciated :D

Aldi do a good 4 man for about 35 quid, they normally stock them coming up to the big festivals.

Blackout inside and keeps the heat off. Pair of earplugs and you'll be sleeping well.

Hi folks, myself and three mates have the option of buying a campervan pass and four "crew" passes that will seemingly allow us to bring our campervan to the crew site on the Thursday. Does anyone have any experience of staying in the crew campsite? Any information at all would be greatly appreciated before we part with cash. Cheers.

That would be class. It would probably be my first time heading to the Heineken stage. I didn't even know it was called a "stage" until now
The one and only time I headed into that area (circa 3pm with little else to do) the security guys turned me away for having a beer in my hand that wasn't Heineken . I explained that it was a Murphy's Red that was owned by Heineken but they said they were under strict instructions not to allow any non-Heineken in. My loss I guess. Maybe try again next month to reach the long-awaited state of transcendence.

Alas that seems inevitable. B&S main acts always circa midnight. Only possibility of avoiding it is if Pete Tong follows ATCQ on the main stage on Sat but fair chance he's headlining the EA.

Tortured Seattle solo artist. Did a brilliant midnight set at the Body & Soul main stage on the Sunday night in 2014. Followed by Francois & the Atlas Mountains who were equally great. Nice way to end that year.  PG released a very good album in May. Well worth a look, think a poppier and more accessible Ezra Furman.

The Strypes seem to have disappeared from Jerry fish, but Glen Hansard has popped up

Other Voices have added Wyvern Lingo. I know they're playing around fairly regularly, but they are up there with my favourite Irish acts at the minute, glad to see them added.

These charming Men have Saturday down on their website for EP, that's going to upset the kicking teenagers some bit.

So they have. Weird. I'd like to see Glen, though. Maybe he'll squeeze the rest of the Frames into his guitar case. Interference should certainly be worth a look now.

Saw him a few weeks back with Eddie Vedder, was an outstanding gig.

Phoenix down for the Saturday as well, could clash with ATCQ, think I'd head over to EA if they do clash.
