My whirlpool has excessive noise and vibration at the end of spin cycle , this only happens at end of spin cycle. The belt also dropped. The belt looks OK and the noise and vibration continues when belt is put back on.
The machine is about 4 years old with lots of use. Any idea what's wrong or estimate to repair.
    Thanks. DW

There is often a concrete block used for ballast - might this or something else have worked loose?

That was what I was going to say. They can also break in two as it did on our 1 year old Bosch recently. It wasn't concrete either but some kind of resin bonded grey sh!te that looked like ground up furnace slag or something.

    Thanks for your reply.
The concrete looks cracked but it's not loose nor is there evidence of any bits haven fallen off.
    Is this machine worth repairing.

If it threw off the belt it sounds more like bearing wear, spin the drum by hand, if it is noisey the bearings are worn, generally speaking it is not worth repairing as the whole drum assembly has to be replaced

    Tks for reply.

Drum spins freely by hand. Slight hum no squeaking
