I reckon Jamie survives, gets taken prisoner and Tyrion returns the favour of helping him escape.

Its also becoming quite obvious that Danerys and Jon Snow can only resolve the Bend the knee issue by marrying each other. But what shall Bran Stark make of it???

Some nice nods to Robert in that episode...

"Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field."

"They never tell ya how they all shít themselves. They don't put that part in the songs."

"He came running at me, this dumb highborn lad, thinking he could end the rebellion with a single swing of his sword."

Throwbacks to season 1 all over the place. Arya being stopped at the gates just like she was at King's Landing. Littlefinger's dagger coming back into play. First time we properly see Arya fighting with Needle like how she was taught with Syrio Forel. Symbols on the walls in the cave like how the White Walkers left body parts in the very first scene of the show.

    It's all coming together.

I want to see more Dothraki, not less of them. They're proper mad bastard berserkers and they haven't had a good fight for ages, so it was fun watching them let off some steam. Them armed with dragonglass weapons charging at masses of White Walkers would be epic.

I loved Arya spar with Brienne. From Syrio Forel Arya learned sword fighting, the waif how to dodge and the hound the facts about armour and big F***ing swords. Noticed how every hit she made on Brienne's week spots, neck, hand, leg. She used all those skills in that fight.

Arya also has a grin on her face the entire fight which indicates she was taking it easy on Brienne.

I have to say I was rooting for Jamie, I just find his character more likable than Dannys. I think Jamie will be a very important player later in the storyline.

    He did die, didn't he?

I liked how they showed the dragon fire isn't just regular fire by having some of the Lannister soldiers disintegrate into ash after the fire had passed.

I wasn't sure, there was a bald character that dies screaming, but not sure if him, or if someone with their head melting off.

That's the one I thought was him. I might watch it again and compare the armour.

They must have smashed every record in the book for setting people on fire. :P

I wonder was Littlefinger nodding to Bran's somewhat 'mechanical' persona this season: "I imagine you've seen things most men wouldn't believe."

Any chance he has the rest of the season handy at home on VHS?

Was it bronn that jumped him out of the fire???

I'm presuming it was but you couldn't see. Is there anyone else it could have been? Dickon? Ed Sheeran?:p

It was Bronn. After he jumped away from the ballista, they showed him looking at a white/grey horse.

That episode was one of my favourites, it put a chill down my spine it was that good.
Let me just say "wow" and leave it at that.

I meant I didn't care if they died- I Found myself having sympathy for the Lannister soilders as the scene with Ayra in episode 1 showed few of them are sound enough skins
Them Vs Whitewalkers would be great craic alright

I think Jon bowed the knee in the cave.

He'll have a heck of a lot of explaining to do when he gets back to Winterfell!

Nah, that would have been shown. They're not going to explain it in narrative, and the show doesn't do that type of flashback.

I think he bent the knee too,but it matters not as he is rightfull King and she will bend the knee to him in front of everyone when she finds out

That scene and Jon and Davos' interaction with Missandei afterwards just said something happened or was agreed in the cave that will eventually come out.

Is anyone else getting a chuckle out of the thought of Jon and Davos furiously scribbling and scratching away with chalk and stones on the cave walls, and snickering away to each other about how "she's totally going to fall for this!!" ?

    :pac:

I think there would have been more focus on him if it was him, rather than just the quick shot of a baldy guy already on fire.

Could have been dug out to act like a moat.
