Its one of those weird things that people seem to remember it as a fight that the public were screaming for when in fact they weren't really interested, but were more interested in the Corrales, Castillo and Gatti fights.
    Kosta was just a disaster to get a fight with, by the time it was looking like getting them both in the ring together Kosta signed up to fight Hatton, and Floyd got his first PPV fight against Gatti. And the rest is history. Floyd wanted Kosta badly though because Kosta beat his uncle Roger back in the mid 90s.

    No I get you. I have to say though. I like D.Fischer. He's very complimentary of Floyd in his lightweight days and probably when he was at featherweight too. The only time I've ever really found him to be biased is when he's explaining away ringtvs/Golden Boy Promotion's (who own the mag) special treatment of Canelo. It's a tough job to do in fairness. He also seems to always pick against the contemporary fighter when it comes to mythical match-ups as well!

    In fairness Floyd brought a lot of heat on himself when he changed his image from Pretty Boy Floyd to Money Mayweather, a fast flash **** talker who was not afraid to let everyone how rich he was at a time when the economies of the world crashed in 2007 and thereafter. It also co-incided with the rise of Manny, the good guy who everyone loved inside and outside of the ring.
    The hatred between not the fighters, but the fans of both Mayweather and Pacquiao was something i can never recall seeing before, and of course it co-incided with social media. But it also spilled on to the huge TV networks, commentators and media. It was who are you with? Floyd? Or Manny? It was incredible to feel like you could not enjoy both of them in the ring but everything around you made you feel like you had to pick a horse.

    Looking back on it now (08/09 onwards) it was a crazy time to be a boxing fan, i had a pretty good mate that i talked boxing with for 20 years who defriended me on Facebook because he didnt like my prediction that Floyd was a horrible match up for Manny :D

    Yeah, seems he feels made to feel like a bit of a punk ... saying all along that McGregor is a good boxer...but not happy to be shown sat on his ass.... probably was pushed over....but it's all about selling the idea that McGregor can put a boxer on the canvas...the truth of how he got there is unimportant.... Paulie should have known that every circus needs a clown... unfortunately

    I think it's just more evidence, that Conor knows he can't win this fight... he's desperately trying to gain some psychological edge over Floyd.

    But it's not going to work this time. He's not facing some MMA fighter, who he can intimidate... he's facing a guy who knows he's the best in the world at what he does. Floyd won't fall for his gimmicks!!

    He will have to get in that ring, and compete with Floyd at his own game! He can play all the little mind games he wants, but nothing he does will elevate him to a position of dominance before this fight... it might sell more PPVs... but Floyd knows he has almost 100% control over the outcome of this boxing match!!

    Yeah true . Unless Paulie was aware of what they were going to do it comes across crass and desperate. It does follow the narrative that they just wanted to try make a fool of him though

    Easy for Paulie to say that, when he knows that footage isn't getting released, isn't it? He's done nothing but blab to the media about the sparring the past couple of weeks and all Conor's had to do was post 4 pictures to shut him down.

    Why not release it , after the fight?

    Given the history of McGregor's camp releasing bull s**t with regards to his boxing ability and then getting caught out with the real footage.

    Very unprofessional on McGregor's part or his camp as a whole.

    You do realise Pauli was wearing full open Face headgear and McGregor a full mask, of course it's easy to release pics showing him with a few marks.

    He should have knows this was going to happen and had one of his mates film the sessions aswell as ufc

    Exactly, they might release a minute or two of McGregor looking ok. And his worshippers will take it as gospel that this obviously happened for the other 35 minutes too.

    I don't think Mayweather has many fans amongst the regulars in here. people thinking Mayweather will win does not equate to them being fans of his.

    You might be right, the delusional stage could still be in place - after that then reality should set in, then comes the nerves.

    Personally I thought Paulie spoke a lot of sense, seems the Mc Gregor camp and fans didn't take too kindly to this.

    Paulie has now said he schooled him, which, if true, and most boxing fans will say is likely, a fat and unfit Paulie frustrates Mc Gregor, then what chance against fit mayweather?

    Its just part of the circus I think at this stage. Trying to drum up interest. It's obvious that this is just a joke though considering the seats are still available.

    When May/Pac went on sale it was sold out within minutes.

    Yeah but as of now it's all a case of he said,she said.
    I'm not a McGregor fan and rarely watch a UFC fight but it seems to me on here (and I know it's a boxing forum) that the boxing fans are more then willing to believe anything negative that's said about McGregor without proof.

    I'll be watching it for the spectacle that it is, and I won't be surprised if there's a twist in the end of the tale.

    I would say its a bit of both , most McGregor fanboys will appear with the "this happened" in sparring when it suits their case that McGregor has a chance.

    Equally boxing fans are likely to take the side of the former boxer who says he schooled McGregor, especially having seen the previous antics of the McGregor camp with Van Heerden.

    Was there unedited Van Heerden footage released? I though his footage also had a spin on it.

    It wasnt edited . It was full footage of a round or 2 . Paulies all adds to the show but releasing edited footage of Van Heerden when the guy was only helping him was out of order

    If only people knew what a huge sham and scam this whole thing is. This nonsense than Mcgregor is training harder than he ever has is just that, nonsense. You aren't going to train like that when you have absolutely no chance at all. Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows this.

    The whole Paulie thing is just a publicity stunt, the sparring is probably a joke. A professional boxer is never going to get beat up by a person who has never boxed a professional bout in his life. It's beyond a joke at how many people actually believe this nonsense.

    I agree with what you say . However its becoming obvious that he brought Paulie in to try beat him up and make an example of him . Paulie is now calling his bluff to release the footage
