I imagine with the return of X-Factor and kids going back to school in August it's the first hint that Christmas is coming. July offers no such hints.

And the Brown Thomas Christmas shop! And all the 'it's too early for Christmas' moaning. Can't wait.

Is the BT Christmas Shop good in August? As in, is it at full scale, or only a sample of whats to come.

    I have never been.

I haven't been wither but from speaking to people they seem to have a good amount of Christmas decorations. I know online they appeared to have everything.

The Brown Thomas Christmas shop is the Brown Thomas Christmas shop. It opens in it's entirety- although I didn't find it quite as good last year. It just had a slightly different lay out, making it appear smaller.

As it gets nearer Christmas, some of their nicer decorations are sold out, so in that way it's better early.

I found it good in August/start of Sept. I bought a few things that were out of stock then.

All over to ours for our first Christmas as a married couple! :D

This year I am DETERMINED to not overdo it on the food.

    Pretty much!

Can't be worse than last year when there was a mix up with our butchers. We ordered a 12lb turkey, boned an rolled. We meant a turkey that was 12lb, then have it boned and rolled, so we'd end up with much less.

We got a boned and rolled joint that weighed 12lb.

TWELVE POUNDS of solid turkey.

It barely fit in our oven. Everyone went home with masses of turkey. Even our cats were sick of it after a few days!!

They were there yesterday at half price but now back to full price on the website. Mine have not been dispatched. I wonder was it an error. It was the one with a brown strap and multicolour leaves
