    Scholes?

Thought Mctominay had a really good game. Goal was the icing on the cake. Pereira had a decent game too. Much better than his previous outing.

Axel was class. Great positionally, composed on the ball and strong as an ox. Bullied the opposition. I'd say he will see some gamtime throughout the season.

Jose says he is waiting for news on Matic, and that Matic wants it very very much, so chance is bigger, so we have a chance, in football until it is official, many things can happen but have to wait for it to be official.

I don't think Matic is really going to be an drastic improvement.

Isnt he supposed to be replacing Carrick?

    Two things look cemented.

Fellaini will be at the club next season and so will Matic.

Actually happy with that I'd much rather we had him in the squad. Very underrated player at times and has given his all for thr club from day one.

He's far from perfect but he's valuable member the team.

Plus Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger being let go last season without being replaced it would have been madness to deplete the midfield options further. We need additions.

Fellaini is a great option for Jose and he knows it. There was no way I could see him let him go this season.

Right so it looks like Matic is good as in and Fellaini staying

    DM: Matic/Fellaini/Carrick
    CM: Pogba/Herrera/Pereira

Would still like someone who could play the CM spot in there to be honest, for the most part wouldn't trust Fellaini or Matic in it and Carrick is as old as old can be. Still a hell of a lot stronger than it looked like it might have been 24 hours ago though.

Exactly we need more in midfield not less!

I'm happy to see Fellaini stay, he is a good squad player and for £10m united would be mad to sell.

    Marci signing.

    Fellaini staying.

    A very good day.

I must admit I love the fact Mourinho says that Fellaini is too important to leave.

No matter who we do and don't sign, I'm really excited by all the kids coming through from the academy and the preseason they've had. It keeps the flag flying high for the finest & unrivalled tradition of our club.

You wouldn't trust Fellaini in the position he's played most of his games for United?

McTominay is there too and fits the Jose mould i.e. he's tall :P

I think with Matic there are enough good options and would rather supplement from the U23s than spend money on another player who might not play a lot and take money away from any potential wide player (though I'd rather a right sided player than Perisic tbh)

"Conte, who masterminded the Blues’ Premier League title triumph last season, told reporters his team need to avoid “a Mourinho season” heading into the 2017-18 campaign.

Asked what he thought of Conte’s comments, Mourinho told journalists: “I don’t know. I could answer in many different ways but I’m not going to lose my hair to speak about Antonio Conte.”

Mourinho emphasised the hair comment by rubbing his fingers through his salt-and-pepper locks."

Matic a United player and Fellaini staying. Suddenly our midfield is much more solid.

Magic instantly adds a bit of Balance to the midfield that we have been crying out for
