    Seems to be an initial fee of £40m with add ons up to £50m.

    So expect United to be saying 40 and Chelsea to be saying 50.

    I had it in my head Matic was out of favour last season but he started 30 games in the league which is a decent number.

    No BBC are saying the fee is 'reported' to be £50m and they're linking to the MEN for that report. Everyone else is saying £40m.

    40/50 million isnt too bad considering the market at the moment.

    Matic is a multi premier league champion and the year he was brought back to Chelsea was the best DM in the league.

    Good solid signing and like othets said hopefully allows more freedom to the more attack minded players

    Apologies,I completely missed/ignored the "reportedly" and I didn't cop it was a link to MEN either. Not very observant today and I can't even blame the booze.

    We are prolly over paying for Matic given his age but he is a player Jose knows inside out and clearly trusts, he has bags of experience and slots straight into a position we are lacking in.

    Happy enough all things considered.

    That fee is a huge backing of Jose. Great to see a problem position filled with an immediate first team player.

    Still think a player who can fill in for Pogba is needed but one problem at a time.

    Nothing confirmed but even BBC reporting 40m fee ageeed and he did medical this morning. Will be announced tonight or tomorrow
