Wonder what is the delay with the Matic deal? He hasn't even been in the squad for their preseason friendlies.

Woody made a first bid of £2.50 and is now 'preparing' another bid.

It makes no logical sense on any level to sell Felliani, there is no factor you can suggest that would lead to a logical conclusion that selling him would be worth doing.

Hence I call bull****, and only an official statement from the club would convince me otherwise.

He's not played DM at any level as far as I know. Forward converted to an attacking midfielder, no?

Pereira is not a DM either.

McTominay played DM earlier in the season for the reserves due to his growth spurt. Then moved up front before going back to midfield senior level

I'd say something if he was actually crap.

    First season he was awful

So was pretty much every member of the squad under Moyes. He's been useful addition and very useful in the last few seasons. Would be surprised to see him sold

I really don't remember that being the case. I know he played midfield, but not as a defensive midfielder.

So you're actually admitting he was not so bad last season?

    Its a start:pac:;)

He was good in a few games. Spurs game at home under van gaal probably his best game in a utd shirt. Overall though meh.

Still not able to admit your hatred of him stems solely from the fact a girl friend zoned you for the man with the hair...

    We have Fosu-Mensah as well.

No, apparently we don't. Not in the context I meant. I was listing players who actually get played there, and not who would be played there if some of us were manager.

I'd like to see TFM get a run at DM. I'd like to have seen Daley Blind at least get tried out there with all of the games he played last season. The reality is though that they haven't been played there and show no signs of being played there soon.

If the rest of the squad showed fellainis work rate and determination we'd be a lot better off.

I just can't get on board with selling him. We already could make a good argument for needing two cms. He gives his all and us an excellent squad player. I think he can be improved upon as a first choice player but as a squad option, particularly with our clear weaknesses in midfield it would be insane to sell him.

Reckon the rumors are just the stupid season Turkish rumors.

If the rest of the club showed his clumsiness in possession or ability to pick up cards at an alarming rate, we'd be a lot worse off.

If Fellaini does go then we clearly must have a replacement ready. If not it's unforgivably poor, but Fellaini out + 2 guys in, I would be very much in favour of.

The problem is that Felliani stays +2 guys in makes even more sense.

Not so sure I would agree (I should have mentioned I meant two guys at CM/DM). Let's use Matic and Dedoncker as the examples since their names are bouncing around a bit, that is those two plus Carrick for the more defensive spots, with Pogba and Herrera for the more central roles (and Dedoncker likely there too). Then it boils down to what Jose wants from those two positions and who he prefers from Fellaini, Pereira, McTominay or TFM (as well as Mata/Mkhi in more of a 4-2-3-1 setup). If Fellaini is not preferred despite his experience due to how poor he is in possession and his lack of ambition/vision on the ball then I could fully see him being gone and would have no issue with it.

Jaysus we still havent signed a DM yet. I wouldnt be forcing ourselves into the market for a second one before we get the first one. Desperation wont make clubs sell us players any cheaper.

Aside from a CB (Smalling/Jones) and possibly Ashley Young no one is edpendable.

Not if we sign another two CMs that can cover that position no.

Holy shít lads, Dendoncker is available for 22 to 31 million pound and that's a quote from their sporting director!

Thought he was a very tidy player when they played us and looking at his youtube stuff he seems to be two footed, strong, has long range passing, and can even score a goal.

He is 22. I hope to god United are at least thinking about doing a deal. Id swap him for Fellaini in the squad in a heartbeat if that is what has to happen. Buy him regardless.

I'd like Dendoncker. Surely we are interested Unless José sees something he doesn't like.

    Fellaini is going nowhere haha

What a ridiculous rumour. He's the perfect José player.

If this happens we surely getting two midfielders. Otherwise squad weaker than last year.

It wont happen but if it did, its surely confirmation that the likes of Pereira will be getting a look in

Gala are also linked tonight with Feghouli, Fernando and Ben Arfa.

Brays chairman must have took them over lol. Someone has suddenly linked them with a whole new midfield ha.

If Fellaini left along with Rooney this place would end up as laidback as the Christmas forum.

Why would the sporting director say that? Anyone that wants him then will never bid more than the 22m he said. Bids will prob start at less than that

McTominay seems to be our young DM. TFM seems to be full back.

Andreas would be our only back up with any real experience.

I'd like to see more of McTomminey. He really impressed me in the friendly.

    Ed: How does £28mn sound?

    Anderlecht SD: Who is this?

Ed: Ed Woodward, I'm calling you from Old Trafford.

Anderlecht SD: Oh. Oh! Okay then, £65mn and he's yours.

He said “We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25million and €35m, we have a problem.”

Doesn't mean they'd accept the lower offer.

Have no belief United are about to sign him. We scout anderlect all the time and have never bid for a player (teilmens?). I reckon the dendonker talk is just people seeing we had a scout posted and making a story out if it.

Lower bid might have gone in as we have been linked a couple of days ago and he is could be saying up your bid and a deal will be done

Or like mitch says above :D
