Hate to be a neggie but the 2 signings we have made this summer are nowhere near enough for what we need to challenge on all fronts. The squad finished 6th, not first. So for that to be all would be a big concern. It's almost a bit Arsenal.

The deal for Perisic died off a while ago imo.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. There's not actually been any links for a while now, and yesterday felt like a "Oh ****, they called our bluff, please come back!" moment for Inter.

I'd love dybala and reckon he'd suit the premier league but couldn't see us investing 120 million on another player in this window. The next big fee will be for Griezmann imo.

I think he was only a second or third choice after griezman but they over priced him.

So the Perisic deal is off...,..again and this evening we have reports of Sanchez making pleas to leave Arsenal, we should get him to come to the red side of Manchester, never mind the blue corner and end up playing in front of 20,000 every other week.

Wouldn't breath much hope for the remainder of the window then, does it?

Who knows? If a player becomes available that's not available now due to transfer merrygorounds it could all open up. It's happened plenty of times clubs make signings later in window if a player comes available.

But your line was that we have now misses out on three targets for a position, down to price on the third at least. Considering the failure to make any move materialize for Matic and dier where does the confidence come for other deals? Do you think other clubs won't also be looking for top dollar for their players?

If United have decided fees are too crazy, why do you think clubs will accept less from us in this market?

Getting Lukaku in while moving on Rooney was brilliant.

Everything else this window was poor. Morata, Perisic, no DM. AG bailing.

Can only imagine the Lukaku deal took a lot of work and nothing else progressed because of it.

Need a lot more to challenge over a full season.

We didnt sign Morata because we signed Lukaku.

No mention of Lindelof in the above?

No mention of keeping the best keeper in the world?

no mention of getting Rooney out of the club?

No mention that it is still 28- july and there is still loads of time to do stuff??

Mitch your worked up over transfers all week calm down man.

So I'll explain my thoughts this way ok maybe perisic was second or third choice we don't know but saying he was third choice then so griezman was obviously first choice maybe bale was second choice but he doesn't want a move..... perisic is third choice and at which stage he is priced probably double what he is worth again we don't know we only going on what the media say but club are obviously not going to overpay on someone that's there third choice option that they feel has no sell on Value or commercial value and performances don't warrant possinle 50 million transfer fee.

Now say in a week or two time say possible Madrid sign mbappe and decide we might try cash in on bale and they inform his agent if we can get x amount of money for bale we will allow him to leave then his agent contacts United and they say we can make this work he is worth a lot comercially and is one of the top players in the world well then he could well becone available.

Or another possibility is say if city sign neymar and then they don't want Sanchez built Sanchez is not signing a new contract at arsenal and they don't want to loose him for nothing and United take advantage of that He was never on our radar bit die to another transfer happening he becomes a possibility.

I will state I'm only using names and situations as possibilities that could happen that might bring someone onto radar that wasn't on it or that was originally written off.

I think falcao was a good example if I remember correctly he was not on lvgs transfer list but the situation came about that he was available.

You just read what you wanted (as normal).

I did mention Rooney. The club wanted Morata and Jose said as much.

Lindelof was not something worthy of praise.

Didn't need to mention the date, figured everyone knew the window has lots of time left. Its why I finished with "need a lot more".

Edit: yeah, Dave is staying for now. Not convinced that is because of anything United did this summer.

I've been calm all week, and I'm fed up of these shots at me like I've been posting expletive filled rants all week.

I've calmly and respectfuly put my opinions out. I've calmly responded to posts, even when they been having goes at me. I've not responded to being directly attacked for my opinions (not be you).

If I'm getting g worked up it will be down to people making these passive aggressive comments.

Bales agent pretty String on rumors of a move to united bring utter rubbish.

Might change his tune if Madrid offer him up though.

I think he needs to keep confirming that Bale is happy and has no intention of leaving just in case the Mbappe deal falls through and he stays
