Pogba was brought in the be a general in the midfield - not to score goals.

He didn't do enough last season but this season I'm sure he'll boss it.

I didnt ignore them. I didn't respond to them but leave out the parts that didn't suit me like you did either. Just to be clear, there was a number of big games that he was poor in last year there was also a number that he excelled in too.

I disagree that excelled in any games against the top 6. He was as okay - good imo.

He did play very well against some average sides like Celta Vigo, Fenerbache & Swansea.

I think United could have got Neymar if they had wanted, but looks like they allowing him to go to PSG instead.

Or maybe the club have already inquired and he's said no interest. So should we continue to pursue him just so our fans are happy that we're pursuing him and then be told we've not done enough when he signs for PSG..

If you've a choice of Paris or Manchester where would you pick!!!

More than doubling the current world record fee just doesn't make sense to be, but i don't have my hands on the controls here..

the few articles on the subject say both City and United looked at it, and despite Neymar wanted to make either move, decided it would cost far too much. Also, United feeling it may be just another new contract ploy from Neymar.

Maybe it as you said and United managed to keep it quiet and no one in the world knows, with Neymar and his entourage not thinking it would make sense on their part to leak rejecting of United and City for PSG.

Maybe it as the press have said and United don't want to spend 200million plus more again on wages on one player (understandable, but I wish they would!)

Yep i agree with everything you say there Mitch, i still think its a contract renewal ploy on his part..

Do you think Neymar is a 100m of greater value that Pogba? Yes, I think he is.

I respectfully disagree, but in this new age of crazy TV money & Sugar Daddy owners and as the age old adage goes...

He's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for him..

No chance. 100m?? You could nearly buy celtic football club for that

Pogba would be more expensive this year than last year.

Marca saying Mbappe could cost Real Madrid 216 million, their source was L'Equipe who say that €34 million taxes on top of the reported €180 million and near €2 million to Bondy for training Mbappe brings the figure up to that.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing us throw in a €100m bid for Gareth Bane.

Has anyone tried to get Paulo Dybala off of Juve?

Seems strange he hasn't featured as a target for the English clubs.

As i mentioned the other day, i think we have enquired with Neymar's representatives. I'd go as far as saying we 100% have on some level. But it's quite possible Neymar has no interest in living in Manchester. Many European players used to the lifestyles abroad in major European cities won't. That's football nowadays.
If he was interested i'd love to sign him. He's 25 years of age and already one of the best players in the world. It won't be a case of "a big fish in a small pond" player moving to United from a smaller club. He has already performed at that high level. I think wages wise, the player that have left recently like Rooney, Ibra, Schneiderlein, Bastian, etc will help with the cost of a huge chunk of his possible wage demands. I'm not bothered if he costs €165m.....it's not my money. The accounting department at United will know if they can afford him. My only negative would be to spend that money on him at the expense of addressing the much needed other area's of the team.

Seen this one earlier so seems that he could be bought for the right price

Read that Dybala has apparently some sort of agreement with Juvi they will accept a bid of €120m from Barca if it comes in, but nothing about other teams.

That's a different argument. Mine was a response to those saying 190m was too much for a top 3 player in the world. If Utd were willing to pay 90 for Pogba, then 190 for Neymar doesn't seem too outrageous (relatively) to me.

Spalletti “Everybody knows there was a negotiation but [as far as I am concerned] Perisic’s move is off now. It is now complicated to replace him with another player and that’s why I will firmly go against his sale”.

Translation taken from the Caf so only hoping it right :D

Yesterday Spalletti was whoring him to us so it looks like we have moved on.. Bale or Neymar anyone :D

Ah so Dybala has Barca in his DNA. Didn't know he was one of those guys.

Forget him. Anyone who has a love affair with Real or Barcelona should be avoided as it just creates future problems when they start their knacker tactics.

The deal for Perisic died off a while ago imo. Maybe we will get Matic. I'm still not holding my breath for anyone actually arriving at this stage.
