Convicted drug dealer and killer feels it is unfair that the council want to charge him rent he deems is too much.
I have as much sympathy for him as he had for his various victims!

Well, he has served his time and hasn't come to the attention of the authorities since.

“A man’s home is his castle is the way I look at it."

It's not your house buddy, that's the way I look at it.

“If they take me out of this house, I’ll be back in jail within a week,” he said. “A man’s home is his castle is the way I look at it

It was his parents council and he was never on the books ,

Evict his ass and hit him with a rent bill

Poor lad will have to go back to murdern' because he has no roof over his head.
The Sunday World are worse for wasting ink on him.
It's hilarious that he'd go to the papers with this, did he really think he'd get any kind of sympathy. What a noob.

He doesn't seem one bit remorseful about what he has done.

Nowhere does it say he wasn't paying his rent??

it is not his house to rent. He is a not the tenant. his parents were the tenants.

The lenient sentencing in this country makes my blood boil.

On the other hand, put him out on the street and he'll likely end up being put up on the tax payers buck anyways. That's a best case scenario of course.

How bad have things gotten if the council can't even find houses in the back arse of Clare? :O

If he wasn't on any tenancy agreement with the council he wasn't paying them anything,

His parents were the listed tenants and nobody else ,they were the only ones accessed for payments .

I do have some sympathy for someone who gets in a fight, one punch and victim dead.

I remember hearing about that attack. It was insane -as was the sentencing. Why the charge of manslaughter.

As for the house. It's for two people. Out

Incredibly, he originally only got five years but the DPP appealed it.

Also wasn't a fight. They just attacked a teacher walking down the street.

I'm sure his other 63 convictions were equally unlucky

People who commit violent crimes should be automatically struck off the social housing list.

Yeah, the poor lad was just in the wrong place at the wrong time!!

"Limerick Circuit Criminal Court heard that Harry Dinan, who has 64 previous convictions, was on temporary release from prison at the time of the unlawful killing, while Kevin Dinan, who has 17 previous convictions, was on bail and awaiting sentence having pleaded guilty to a burglary charge."

He's a fcuking scumbag. End of.

He had his chance at life and fcuked it up a long long time ago.

What to do with them then though? Leave em on the street where they're more likely to turn to things like robbery and assault? Or lock em up forever on our buck?

Rent from a private landlord - they've access to Rent Allowance if they haven't the means.

I'd be inclined to leave him there. At least the guards will know where he is.
