A recent Sunday Press had an interesting article on the Fergie scandal

The start of the article described the stages of going topless to sunbathe

Just looking at that line-up, I could cry. Bergerac. Urgh. Bibi Baskin. Double urrrrgh!! Sons And Daughters. And - of course - The Sullivans, where the war ran for about 15 years longer than it did in real life.
Hold me close, 2017. Never again will I complain about the endless repeats of Come Dine With Me...

The war lasted so long on The Sullivans because it was shown 5 days a week in Australia but only 1 day a week on RTE. Lance and Martin would still be on Home and Away if RTE adopted the same policy for all Aussie soaps.

I think the Crying Game raises the possibility of men becoming woman, and vice versa

I remember An Post delivering parcels covered with plastic in autumn and winter to stop them from getting wet. I remember you could split multi-packs of yogurts and just buy them individually, and more often than not the foil would peel off in the process. I also remember the "Travel 10" tickets for Dublin Bus.

Also, I'm almost sure the shops in town didn't open on Sunday before 1994 or 1995 at least.

    EDIT: I also remember Ladas.

Has anyone tried Cola flavoured yop? Verdict?

[Yes it did exist, I thought I'd dreamed it but I remember my Dad could get it when he was working in Carlow, you couldn't get it in Kilkenny. Googled around a bit and turns out it was real, some blogger had the same feeling I did that he had imagined it.
Incidentally: verdict at the time was I loved it. Reality was it was probably absolutely rank but I was too young to care about anything other than sugar]

I'd say the shopkeepers in the towns would protest, best keep them on the outskirts where no-one will be bothered to go.

The Prodigy is the first thing that popped into my head when i thought of 1992. The experience was released that year and I was a teenage raver. I had Altern8 boiler suits and had my Prodigy dance down.

I'll just wear my Blanket jacket with my X works jeans while listening to Whitney Houston singing I will always love you and then I'll swoon over a Kevin Costner in the bodyguard :D

Must pop down to the off licence before it closes in a few minutes. It's nice having them open until midnight. Long may it continue.
