    UK Points - no. You might get disqualified from driving in Ireland.

    I was driving with out insurance but I didn't know the car wasn't insured will I still get points for that

    No, a Irish offense cannot result in UK points.

    However if you are banned from driving in Ireland or the UK then your ban also exists in the other country.

    Yes and no depending on how you look at it.

    Yes in that points go on to a licence record here relating to your UK licence and no as in they have no meaning in the UK. Be aware though if you get 12 points for example your UK licence is no longer valid here (but still valid in the UK).

    Any driving disqualification here (except for the automatic penalty point bans) is recognised in the UK and vice-versa.

    Previously manually but now via the EUs automated EUCARIS system which was fully implemented in the UK just lask week.
