The rampant piracy that was taping songs off the radio

Will this internet thing ever catch on? I remember watching a bit about it on tomorrow's world back in the early 90s. It was saying that we will be able to do our shopping without leaving the house. 10 year old me couldn't fathom it, I found it kind of scary tbh! Like I imagined a future with no shops and no one interacting at all.

Not exactly 1992 but I found the After Hours front page from 2004 using the Wayback Machine!
    November 1st 2004 https://web.archive.org/web/20041101075426/http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=7

Its just a pity that you cant actually click on the forum posts...

Just go to the After Hours main page and click "last" on the page ticker on the top or bottom. Here's the earliest page of it from 1999 and you can click in and read away.

Listening to the latest dance-tape that someone brought back from London. Within a couple of weeks hundreds of people would have the same tape so everyone would know the tunes.

Walkman. CD's too expensive when you could just tape Peel or Fanning.

Just listening to that Nirvana song 'Come As You Are' there where Cobain keeps singing:
    "I swear that I don't have a gun. No, I don't have a gun. No, I don't have a gun. No, I don't have a gun. No, I don't have a gun...."

    I reckon he's bull****ting.

Just saw Harrison Ford in a film called Patriot Games. He was very good in it, and I hear he's making a new film based on a TV series from the 60s. It's coming out next year

Who is a better childrens entertainer, Jimmy Saville or Rolf Harris?

I've heard the rumours about Savile. Wouldn't trust him around kids (or corpses, for that matter). Rolf Harris, on the other hand - absolute gent.

Pfft Sky Movies, rich fecker, I'll just wait until the mobile video library comes to town.

Speaking of the German channels, loved watching RTL and the channel with the globe symbol, picked up a lot of German in my early teens. Liked The Red Shoe Diary's as well.

I heard some place called Prague in Czechoslovakia has cheap beer, could become a good stag spot.
Bargain alerts-family album and Kays are having a sale
Motors-some new cars don't have a choke-how does that work?
