That's it. I've never played but remember it, for quizzes, as being alphabetical.

Budapest is not divided between sovereign entities.
    Jerusalem is not in Europe.

An easy one. Berlin was partitioned between two sovereign powers until 1989. Which two European capitals are now similarly partitioned? I'll be out for a while so google to check your answer.

    Rome? (& Vatican City)

That's what I thought, too, at first, but that's a country within a city, not the same capital split in two.

    Nicosia? And?

The recent goings-on in Kerry put me in mind of the composer Richard Wagner. Why?

I don't know what went on, but has it anything to do with a ring cycle?

Well done. I would have thought that more people would have been familiar with the annual cycling tour of the ring of Kerry than would have known of Wagner's collection of four operas.

I would have got it if eisenberg had added Christy's four in a row followed by his three in a row.

    Rome and Nicosia correct.

Ted and munster owe half a question each.

P.S. I've been wondering about the same outside Europe. Somebody mentioned Jerusalem. Apart from possibly Panama City before the Canal Zone was handed over I can't think of any others,

This hilarious for me as I know simply because a family member is married to the son of a high ranking official in Brunei and I have visited them there. Prince Jefri, to give him the shortened (much shortened) version of his name. He is brother to the Sultan of Brunei and, let's say, a colourful character.

    You are up Srameen.

Bonus points (it get worse) would have been given for this additional info.

The yacht has two tenders/speedboats on board named, wait for it. Nipple 1 and Nipple 2.

It must be Kinshasa and Brazzaville. You can see one from the other, across the Congo River.

Correct. I mile. You could swim it if the crocodiles didn't like how you tasted.

For a bonus point, what are the two closest in Europe?
    ( Again, forget Rome. )
