    I think it is to do with goggles. It popped into my head and I didn't believe it, but of course its the 'isinglass curtains you can roll right down'!

    No, not what I was looking for (I mean, I don't know if there's also a connection with goggles, but that's not what I had in mind).

    Time for another clue. The water sport is synchronised swimming (isinglass is probably used in others, I just don't know, but I do know about this one).
