    Whats the difference between electrical storm and thunderstorm ?
    is it just a severe thunderstorm ?

    They're the same thing.

    Lightning is fantastic. Lightning creates Ozone. We have it to thank for the earths ozone layer.

    I didn't hear or see anything!!! Gutted. Though going by my friend's footage of the lightning here in Cork last night, it wouldn't have been visible from my house anyway.

    Was it coloured? Seen a reddy tinged lightning like that once

    Saw a bright red flash last night at about 11.50pm.. Last for about 2 secs !! Was amazing...
    Then a bright white one a few minutes later, it was like a 'solid block' of lightening though, it wasnt forked or sheet...

    If they come this way I'm going to try and get some great pictures. I'll set my camera up on a big tripod and stand under an umbrella.

    Had a massive one in north Tipperary late last night. I can't ever remember seeing one like it in this part of the country.

    No thunder storms here in South Dublin either :(

    I do love a good thunder & lightening storm, but they're very rare here for some reason.
