Its laughable that people get all worked-up about Scientology.

Why? They might brain wash you or beat you-up? intimidate you?

They are kittens compared to the Roman Catholic Church.

Lets talk about them again after a couple hundred years of
systemic unapologetic child rape, hundreds of years of destructive papal bulls, sometimes forcing the genocide of countries i.e. Laudabiliter or Crusades.
    Anti-condom use in Africa/HIV deaths.
In-tolerance toward homosexuality. Its almost endless list of suffering and torture..

Despite the fact that they have billions in assets, "priceless works of art", they still have tax free status in Ireland.

    The Scientologist don't and won't.

European HQ? So not only do we have to put up with our indigenous scientologicians, but we'll have furrin' ones too!?

    I blame Brexit.

They are a basalt on the senses sometimes. But generally a fairly sedimentary lot who do little harm.

They've always seemed like a gneiss lot, but they get slated here.

I'd be more worried about the death cult rapidly growing in Ireland that has murdered ~1600 people last month alone - rather than some yuppie cult that robs a few gullible fools of some money.

    But thats just me like.

Well if we'll let a crazed death cult set up their European Council for Fatwa and Research here I don't see how we can refuse.
The loons know we're apathetic mugs that will pay no attention to their neferious dealings so long as they'r done with a wink and a nod and there's a few bob in it.
Has scientology achieved tax exempt status as a religion in this country yet? If not I'm surprised they're prepared to off shore their business here yet. As far as I was aware they are a very small operation here with little more then a shabby presence on Abbey St.

Nothing shabby about their investment potential in this country. Have a read:

Is that not pretty standard with them?

There's no way to differentiate them, as they are known to integrate.

I just love any science based jokes!

A mathematician, a statistician and a biologist were enjoying a cup of coffee outside a café. Across the road a couple entered a building. A few minutes later they emerged with a child. The biologist observed, "That couple have reproduced". The statistician said, "On average there were two and a half people in the building". The mathematician said, "If exactly one more person enters the building it will be empty."
