Mitsubishi Lancer oil leak?

    Hows it going,

I had a squealing alternator belt there this evening and upon opening the engine noticed oil everywhere! Eep. Got the belt sorted out quickly enough but the leak seems to be coming from the front right bolt on the valve cover (If you're looking directly at the engine from the front), seems the metal is also flaking off in bits around this area, nowhere else. This cars engine was bone dry when i got it, only 104k has miles on it, 2000 It's the 1.3 litre 4g13 I believe.

Anyone know if it's a common issue or what this could be? I was thinking maybe its in need of some gasket seal around the valve cover? Did that to a leaky subaru before but whole different leak... I'm just an amateur, what would I know!

Hopefully some of you will know or have come across this? I'd rather know what to get before tearing the engine asunder.

    Cheers.

Probably a gasket. Also make sure the PCV (top right corner of the rocker cover) isn't blocked.

Cheers, Is that a big job? I believe the PCV is to the far left on 4g13 no? beside oil cap. No oil is over that side at all. Engine type: https://is.alicdn.com/img/pb/321/965/749/749965321_668.jpg

the front right bolt there on the valve cover is where it's all flaking away and wettest.

PCV should be on the firewall side beyond the 710 cap.
MD312914 should be the rocker cover gasket.
