Extending my wifi signal - Magnet bb

Hello,

I have magnet fibre broadband and they provide a Zyxel VMG1312-B10D router. The router was plugged into the main socket via splitter in the front room of my apartment. After testing I found every room has a phone socket that will provide the connection through a splitter.

I moved the router into the office as I need a cabled connection to my pc there, but now the wifi signal isn't reaching the front room where the tv/ps4/laptops/phones etc are most used.

I contacted magnet and they said I can use a second router plugged into the socket in the front room I just need to "...go to the settings for VDSL connection under the Broadband tab. You will need to screen shot these settings. Then log into your second router you want to use and copy the settings from the VDSL connection. Please be aware we do not support 3rd party router so this config is something you will need to look after yourself."

Before I buy a router I was wondering if anyone had any further advice on the above? Maybe a link to a guide or step by step on this? Do the 2 routers have to be named the same for the wifi signal?

Or would I be better off buying those powerline extenders?
