The more surrounding fake drummed up controversy, the more likely it is to go ahead.

True, pair of them would get in there with broken arms for that dough on offer.

Think McGregor should really stay away from the racial stuff, it's really unnecessary.

I genuinely hope McGregor doesn't get too carried away and emotional tomorrow and make the whole thing look like a bad Jerry Springer episode. He's dealing with a guy who beats the sh1t out of women (on at least 4 separate occasions), owns a strip club, kicks reporters out of press conferences, uses stupid catchphrases, calls himself Money, has a stupid rap song about himself; yet managed to come off as a bigger asshole than him tonight! (That's no mean feat).

The biggest thing about tomorrow for McGregor will be that the crowd will be in his favour in a major way, he will feed off that (in probably a more measured way) and he should come out of it looking fine. The audio issues tonight, like the first didn't help him either, but the main part of it is that there really isn't that many Irish born people living in LA or New York, whereas Toronto and London have thousands and thousands.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a few snorts of funny powder last night, and was either coming down or took more today.

Despite all of Floyd's women beating ****, The guy has been trash talking **** for 20 years his a veteran at this sport. His speech tonight was rubbish but after 20 years I doubt he gives a **** its all business to him.

One cross-section of the internet is loving his performance tonight....

And they all have Pepe the Frog avatars. I suppose next stop is a KKK or Stormfront endorsement.

    Happy birthday Conor...

And this is because everyone was scrambling to be the most offended by him saying "boy",he came out tonight feeling he had to address it but ballsed that up big time!!

I'd hate to see these commentators or journalists that got bent out of shape from an Irishman saying boy if they ever ended up in Cork, their heads would explode, bai!! ;)

Very hard to do 4 nights in a row without repeating yourself or trying to come up with new stuff.

Here Conor I wrote you a speech:

"What's up London! Thank you all for showing up to support this event I've always been grateful for all the love you've shown me. So, about last night (laugh)... you can't go to New York and not have a few drinks the night before your birthday (haha) ... I once said "I'll apologise to absolutely nobody" but the truth is I'd like to offer a heartfelt sorry to anybody who was offended last night because that simply isn't me. I've nothing but love for every human being, it makes no difference if you're black, white, male, female, straight or gay - we were all created equal.

So why are we here? We're here because of an incredible amount of hard work over many years that have got me to this position. I'd be nowhere without my coaches , my training partners, my friends, my family, my beautiful girlfriend and Conor Jr. and, of course, the support of the UFC from the legendary Ferttita Brothers to Dana White now to WME.

We're going up against a supremely gifted boxer, a defensive genius under the limited rule set. Nothing but respect for what Floyd has achieved in his career. A 5-weight World Champion in a 20+ year career as a pro, the highest earning combat fighter in history (despite his little tax issue ha!)... but no, you can't hate on that. So much respect to Floyd.

But let's be real there's only one true fighter up here on this stage.

Beating the best boxer of our generation, succeeding where all the others failed won't be an easy feat but I've been here before facing an uphill task and I've always managed to come through. I'm going to get into that ring August 26th and fight my heart out for myself, for my family and for all of you who have supported me on this incredible journey and, trust me, with hard work and your support, my hand will be raised at the end of this incredibly tough contest.

Once again, thank you for all my fans at home in Ireland, here in London and around the world I wouldn't be where I'm standing if it wasn't for you. Let's go and do this!"

Try remembering that after a few lines of powder you wouldn't get far! And not enough swearing either, no mention of how rich he is. Don't think he'll go for it!

Very well written though fair play.

Conor should just point to the advertising board behind them and sound out what it says directly to Floyd.

    ''Floyd ya little illiterate bitch, it's time for school. Look and listen;

    MAY...WEATH...ER...VERSUS...MC...GREG...OR...T...MOBILE....ARENA...AUGUST... TWENTY...SIX''

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Django99

Muhammad Ali: It is befitting that I leave the game just like I came in, beating a big bad monster who knocks out everybody and no one can whup him. That's when little Cassius Clay from Louisville, Kentucky, came up to stop Sonny Liston. The man who annihilated Floyd Patterson twice. HE WAS GONNA KILL ME! But he hit harder than George. His reach is longer than George's. He's a better boxer than George. And I'm better now than I was when you saw that 22-years old undeveloped kid running from Sonny Liston. I'm experienced now, professional. Jaws been broke, been knocked down a couple of times, I'm bad! Been chopping trees. I done something new for this fight. I done wrestled with an alligator. That's right. I have wrestled with an alligator. I done tussled with a whale. I done handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail. That's bad! Only last week I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalised a brick! I'm so mean I make medicine sick!

    Don King: Bad dude!

Muhammad Ali: Bad, fast! Fast! Fast! Last night I cut the light off in my bedroom, hit the switch and was in the bed before the room was dark.

Imagine if someone could come up with anything remotely as good as what that was, I wonder would it be well received today? Or is really all about "fcuk the mayweathers" and calling each other bitches?

What an absolute scobe, making a real show of himself at the moment. If he hadn't made it as a pro fighter i'm sure he'd be scobing around the streets of Dublin with his tracksuit legs tucked into his socks.

What was the story with the crowd last night? The crowd noise seemed off when McGregor was speaking. Showtime up to their usual tricks or just a flat crowd?

Mayweather was better however. 2-1 Floyd. Conor needs to pull something big out of the bag today in London.

The audio mix inside the arena was terrible apparently and the fans couldn't hear much of what was said. Add that to the fact they were standing around an extra two or so hours waiting on the lads it just took the air out of the balloon completely.

  • What did 50 cent say to trigger this reaction from Conor??

  • Artem.. "Jersey Shore Rejects" ...haha gold

Well that was epic. Fair play to both fighters. Not many would keep their cool under such pressure. Brooklys presser was a little more staged than the others so far.

Domestic abuse is coming up in London will bet my last penny on that.

It should be, but there's clearly something in the contract that states he can't mention it. There's no way Conor would have resisted bringing it up before now.

No chance it gets mentioned by Conor at any stage and in turn Floyd won't be going there re: any allegations about Conor's out of the octagon activities.

McGregor often wears shoes with a good heel on them to look taller.

"You don't see heels that like much these days"

    "You can still find 'em"

This is such an exciting match! I think people are forgetting how good mayweather is. He's one of the greatest defense fighters of all time, you just cant hit the  guy. Conor is bigger and stronger but I think will lack the speed to catch Mayweather, pac-man has way faster hands than Conor and he couldn't get near mayweather. Either ways it win win for Conor, 100m in the bank and no damage to rep if loses (can say he lost to one of the greatest boxers of all time) . Either way its gonna be epic!
