Used to be entertained by his pre-fight promotion, but since the Also and Diaz fights I've been more and more disgusted by what he's saying. The casual racism is starting to creep in and I'm very uncomfortable listening to him.

    McGregor is a pure bellend.

Somewhere in between. I've no interest in UFC, so he doesn't cross my path too often anyway. There's no doubt that he's driven and very good at what he does.

I've never been a fan of those theatrics pre-fight, like at a weigh-in or whatever.

I know people will say it's all just an act and promotion, and while I agree to an extent, he strikes me as one of those people (like David Haye) who uses it as a licence to be a wanker.

All a part of the show kid.

I don't like the way he dresses, or his man bun or the people who try to copy his dress sense.I don't think he is a good role model for kids and I don't buy into this thing that people should support him because he is irish. He doesn't represent me.

Just as an aside, I think he had that man bun for a grand total of one fight! People always go on about the McGregor haircut/man bun but he's had a shaved head/normal shortish haircut more often than not.

I can't decide whether he's good looking or ugly. Both at the same time maybe.

If you're going down that route you might want to get onto Ireland football team superfan Davy Keogh (who says Hello, btw) and any multitude of fellas going to England who go embalzing Irish Scousers on Tour and the like across the Tricolour.

    It's just gone 33.33%, 33.33%, 33.33%!

I know a few English girls who'd love to hear a few Irish fellas says that. Turty tree and a turd :P

Did you know there's a term for that jolie laide which more or less transaltes as ugly beautiful. Loads of runway models have that look. I'd say your man Bendict Cumberbatch could be described that way, or Tilda Swinton.

He's done very well for himself and he's successful at his sport. I wouldn't like his sport tough. It's just one of these sports that I don't think I could every get to like.
I don't really like his style or taste. I think he used look a lot better before he got all the Tattoos and beard!

Love him or hate him, he is a fellow Irishman on the world stage, 4 years from being on the dole to double UFC Champ and taking on one of the most successful boxers of all time.

He is very confident and clever and I for one support him win lose or draw.

If it's not soccer or rugby or horse racing generally a lot of people out there don't want to know and it has taken a relatively small number of fans, given the population size, to propel him into the stature he has now. And FAIR PLAY TO HIM! What we see at press conferences is a front, a character and you can see a totally different man in EVERY post fight interview.

The work and effort he puts in has paid off and I do not know why anybody would begrudge one of our own? That I feel is a very Irish trait :D

He shows the fightin' Irish spirit and gives the fans the opportunity to show their love and support for the country on the world stage!

And there are plenty of Irish who would say that insisting we must support one of our own no matter what is "a very Irish trait".
People like some things and dislike some other things and these things being Irish or not being Irish generally has nothing to do with it.

He seems to excite large men in tap out t-shirts who could do with some body conditioning themselves. And those lads who try to mimic his style by wearing preposterous Topman suits and disfiguring themselves with neck and sleeve tattoos.
The rest of us are slightly embarrassed by his complete lack of what my Granny would have called 'class'.

Where's the 'Conor McGregor doesn't show up on my radar at all' option?

But let's face it. There is definitely a scumbag element to the majority of his "die-hard" fans. The sort of lads you'd actively avoid in social settings.

You would think that, but I work for a company where the minimum entry requirement for new hires is a business degree of some sort. And almost without exception I would say that every guy there under 30 that I've spoken to is an MMA fan, and more specifically a McGregor fan. Personally I think it's a barbaric sport and that McGregor is a gurrier of the highest order, but I'm clearly not the demographic that the UFC aiming for.

He won't The likes of Padraig Harington,Rory McIlroy (if he wants to count as Irish), Roy Keane have achieved much more in bigger more historic sports.

Harrington?! Would ya stop..blessed Tiger was injured anyway I would put BOD ahead of him. Roy walked out on his country so I can't give him that accolade and Mcilroy is British just as Darren Clarke is but anyways he still has to win a lot more to get anywhere close.

You know Tiger was lucky Jack Nicklaus got old.

McGregor has achieved nothing in comparison to the 3 I just mentioned.

He's the only ever UFC fighter to hold two world titles simultaneously in different weight classes. Ever. That's quite the achievement. Also holds the record for fastest ever knockout in a title fight.

I absolutely and utterly loathe him. I think he's an arrogant obnoxious d******d.
I'm no fan of Mayweather, but I hope he kicks McGregors massively overinflated head in.

I'd say after a half hour in his company he'd get fairly annoying. This craic with Mayweather is a circus, albeit a funny one.

I admire his ability to make money and his business acumen tho, some story there.
