    Steady on, Gerry.

I have my excuses ready, but it will take a bit more to change my pick!

Like Floyd getting hit by a truck or tearing both Achilles before the fight?

Imagibe being of sane mind and thinking McGregor could win.

If he landed even one on the face/head i would give him praise

Barring a freak injury of course

He is doing a fine job of it though. There are times when I think to myself "if he lands that left" and so on, he is doing a fine job of selling the fight.

Granted, I would be like 99% of the people on earth that dislike Mayweather as a person, but fully admire the boxer that he is. Plenty of times I have tuned into a fight and said "This guy could be the one to beat Floyd" and then about 3 rounds into the fight you realise that its normal service as usual, and thats with world class, high quality, elite boxers.

Yeah same happened me . All Access and 24/7 always give hope that the other boxer would win . Especially when they were on the pads they looked unbelievable.

Then the fight came and they couldn't land. Always found it amazing that some elite boxers that great at throwing punches from all angles at crazy speed couldnt land on him. That is some skill to have from Mayweathers point of view

And now there is a non boxer in the mix who has people believing he could be competitive - i have to appreciate the hold he has over some people.

Yeah you're prob right . I always felt he had another gear he could go if he was pushed though . A lot of time he just done what he had to do eg DLH and the Manny fight

I hope he entertains in this fight and lets his hands go with flashy combos . He has no reason not to as he isnt under any real threat with whats coming back . My worry is like i mentioned above he may just do what has to be done and then cash that chq

I'm not a huge fan of either sport so I had never heard Mayweather speak until yesterdays press conference and I really wasn't impressed with him.

But after watching this below he is actually more well spoken than I thought:

We are in the same boat pal, I think this is as much of a thing that Mayweather is doing as McGregor.

He makes people believe that he might/could lose, and he did that with Canelo, Cotto, De La Hoya etc, and now he is doing it with McGregor.

Its working regardless, ill give him that.

He probably will, I'd say a huge amount will be posted afterwards, just depends on whether Mayweather TKo's him early or late.

Very similar thoughts myself, I haven't had any interest in any of his fights and paid little attention to him, he just seemed normal, switched off from the on stage bravado. It is something I have not seen from McGregor, the guy is like a 5 year old on a sugar high 24/7.

I dont believe he is actually racist - so much crap comes out of his mouth it seems he has no clue himself whats coming out next

For me the only question is whether Mayweather will knock him out, hes going to win every round but has he still the power to knock out a young fighter probably not

Hardly a defence, he has to retract them or he still owns them

I didn't know there was a legal youtube option, someone will probably do an illegal live stream but I wouldn't depend on it lasting, it could cut out at any time.

They said they'll have all sorts of options including mobile so I doubt watching it online would be an issue.

Going by this, YouTube Live looks to be an option.

I was indifferent about the build up until now but after watching the Toronto video I have to say I am reeled in. It was great entertainment and a bit unpredictable, at least from Conor.

I thought Floyd looked more worried and shocked when Conor started f'ing Showtime and their Execs out of it than he did after the bucket of abuse Conor gave him.

That aside, when Conor threatened to fcuk Floyd up if he did something with the Irish Flag , I got the impression he wasnt kidding , and I think Floyd sensed this also, and thought better of doing something stupid with the flag.

For all the over the top caricature stuff, I think this response came from the gut from Conor. It had , and still has, me rooting for him .

Not defending him - he's full of crap, but not racist - he's like 5 years old in the playground thinking of how to slag someone off

There is a video of him and his team laughing when he was saying that, if he was shook up, he hid it well.

Really? Referring to the black lads in the gym in rocky as dancing monkeys is grand? Or were there actual monkeys I'm forgetting about?
