Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Not bad thanks. I'm just waiting on results of two exams, which should be out in the next week or so. Any news?

    I wouldn't call a lady handsome now. Pretty, beautiful, etc. would work better ;) You should have asked how Beauty and The Beast are :P

    I was out last night with a lovely girl that I got chatting to on POF a number of months ago. She deleted her account, so we lost contact.

    Anyway, I joined a social group on Facebook a couple of months ago or so, and I happened to see her commenting on something, so I messaged her, and we got back in touch.

    We had been chatting for a good while prior to meeting, and we have got to know one another somewhat through it. We met up in person for the first time yesterday.

    She's not actually considering dating for the time being, due to some things going on in her life that are higher priorities, which is fine. I told her I was interested anyway, but I'm sure she just wants to be friends for now, which is ok.

    We had a lovely time yesterday, starting with a gig in The Laughter Lounge, and then off for a couple of drinks afterwards before parting ways. We'll probably meet up again next week, maybe take in a movie somewhere, and a bite to eat.

    Ok, so it's just us meeting up, and developing a friendship. Maybe something could happen down the line, I don't know. But, although it wasn't a date as such, it gave me a boost of confidence, as things went a lot more smoothly than the couple of actual dates I had last year.

    If things develop in time, then great. If not, then I have that bit more confidence for dating someone else, assuming we get on well too. But, I really did enjoy yesterday, even though it was just an overdue meet up.
