Er, the french film. The Netflix show Love is fine.

I wouldn't recommend anyone watch Love. It's an embarrassingly amateurish effort from Noe. Just watch or re-watch Enter the Void instead. It's the same thing but good.

    Before I Fall:

I really liked this, probably more than it deserves. It's basically Groundhog Day crossed with Mean Girls with a sprinkling of YA glossiness. Deutch is really good as the privileged but very authentic main character who is forced to re-live the same day over and over. The first act is rendered somewhat irksome by the up-up-upper-middle classness of it all and the second act feels rushed, but the third act is where the film comes into its own. The moral of celebrating the little things is similar to Richard Curtis's About Time but this sticks the landing in way that I thought Curtis's film didn't.

Oh and Netflix's personalised matching system is such bullish*t. Amazing how everything they distribute or produce is a 95-99% match.

You're obviously going to be pushed those in that rating. I've sought out some stuff and the match wasn't very high, usually documentaries.

The Great Beauty seems to have been added: it's a great film if you're into European art-house, it's sometimes very funny, sometimes surreal, and fantastically well shot. Only thing is that they don't seem to have sorted out the subtitles yet! When they do, worth a watch.

I had heard great reports about 'The Keepers', so decided to watch it last week.

Very disappointed. OK it was a fascinating story and also shocking, but for me it was very much like 'Making a Murderer', far too slow and drawn out.

It was 7 episodes, and to be honest, with good editing it could have been made into 2 easily. MaM was exactly the same, 10 episodes, about 7 too many.

I notice when I search Netflix that all these shows are marked with stars for reviews, and nearly everything on NF is 4.5 stars+. Where do they get these review scores from, do they make them up themselves?

The star ratings are what it thinks you are going to rate it, not an average rating.

Watched Okja the other night and would give it a 7. Also wattched Bernie and woulf only give that a 5/10.

Saw the Okja trailer, so I watched it, after the first episode I think I shall give up on it, it is so slow with sub titles, does it get any better.?

Okja is a movie, not a series.

    Blair Witch was added today.

It’s starts good but then shows way too much and goes downhill fast

    I watched and loved gypsy.

Also enjoyed the circle as a bit of escapism.

I watched The Green Inferno so that none of you have to watch it. Who'd have thought cannibalism would be so dull and boring?

I watched the documentary that's on Netflix about it a while ago so feel I know the whole story, do you think it's still worth catching before it goes?
Yes, the film is unique in the telling of the story.
I found the film very disappointing.

So caught it before it left. The film was a bit gloomy but maybe that's a reflection of the subject matter, but Steve Carell I thought played DuPont very well.

I do think the Foxcatcher documentary is better though.

There's one to remove from my list.

Before I fall 2016 is a fairly decent movie, I would definitely recommend.

If you liked 13 Reasons Why, You'd enjoy this one.

The Same Sky is pretty good if you don't mind subtitles and liked Deutschland 83 and The Lives of Others, on episode 5 and it keeps the pace up, only 6 episodes though which seems a pity

What I love about Netflix is the mix of good and awful movie's. Saw Uss Indianapolis Men of Courage and it ranks as one of the best comedies I have ever watched. Recommended.

Just watched the Metallica documentary 'Some Kind of Monster' for the first time in about 10 years.

It's long, it's indulgent, but it is a powerful insight into a mega-selling, stadium-filling band at a turbulent time for them. One of my favourite music docs, and Metallica wouldn't be my favourite band although I do like them.

Also watched this myself, yesterday & there is a definite lack of zombies! Whole thing is a bit slow moving & bleak.
