    Hello All

Can anyone tell me if roof bar fixing points (female thread under a plastic cap) are standard across car makes or do I need to be careful to get ones specifically for my car?

Also - I see on Amazon that you can buy the 4no. fixing pieces and the actual bars separately. Dose anyone know if the slot on the underside of the bars is a standard size? I have a set of Lidl roof bars with the clamps for fixing to roof rails but now I have a car with fixing points. Reusing the Lidl bars with new fixings would save a few bob.
    Thanks in advance

    No, they're not universal.
