Bits of coffee in cup

This happens to me every time I make espresso and I think it's my basket.

Basically from what I've googled previously it's most likely grounds getting on your portafilter spouts while grinding or tamping or, more likely, just fines getting through the holes in your portafilter.

Unless it really bothers you I wouldn't worry about it, it's just coffee - you can buy whole beans covered in chocolate to eat so little grinds shouldn't do any harm!

What is your espresso machine? Do you use a proper cleaning product like cafiza?
