So unless you are actually at a game, you don't care what happens at it?

What about all the Mayo people who couldn't get tickets for last years All Ireland final?

    Or expats who live overseas?

Or Rossies who live in Dublin and couldn't make it to Salthill?

Or people (like me) who work on weekends?

    Contratulations.

You have just made the most ridiculous statement in the entire history of Boards. Well done. That took some doing.

I would have loved to have seen them lifting the cup. However there was another game starting which is just as important. If the Connacht final was on when the Clare game was on, we would have seen it and the Clare/cork people wouldn't have. Nothing to do with bias.

There was an important game starting 15-20 mins later. All we would have missed by seeing the presentation was some punditry. Regardless of what game was on later RTE missing the presentation was very poor.

Oh, come on that is harsh. What about people who can't make it, health reasons, age reasons, travel reasons, emigration reasons. Even financial reasons. Ticket reasons.

Bit condescending to say "Anyone that would care about Roscommon getting a Connaught trophy would surely be from Roscommon and would have been in Salthill today."

Munster Hurling Final is not such a big deal unless it's the historical big two Cork and Tipp in the Final. Only 45,000 at the match today, well below capacity. Far more at the Leinster Final last week.

Why has this issue with the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock matches become such a problem today? That has been a regular schedule for games going back for years.

At that stage you're talking about RTE catering for only a handful of people.

And they'll still have seen the match. All of it.

By handful of people do you mean all the football supporters in the country?

It isn't a massive deal but your comment "Anyone that would care about Roscommon getting a Connaught trophy would surely be from Roscommon and would have been in Salthill today." was what people pulled you up on and fairly so.

But not such a big deal to abandon a long established coverage schedule on TV. Last week we had the Munster Football Final followed by the Leinster Hurling Final and I don't remember any fuss being made about the games being at 2 and 4.

That was the most intense match debate I've seen on here in awhile...Munster hurling v Connacht football!

I think people just needed some entertainment as the Munster hurling final was an extremely dull game apart from the last 10 minutes. Even the tradition and cultural significance of the game couldn't save it

The only change to the schedule will happen when the Dubs go for a few pints before the Leinster Final and forget what time the match starts.

It starts at ten past 4 right?

Anyway if the TV was running any later we would all miss the start of Marty's Party on the radio.

Over the past 20 years, how often has the Munster hurling champion made it to the the All Ireland final, never mind actually won it?

A fact our Imperial Hurling Overlords often overlook, when they are demanding due homage and subservience to "the unique role that the Munster final plays in the fabric of Irish life."
