Bout 4 goal chances blown now. Poor defending on display but great to watch. See Diarmud as big a cry baby as the brother

Clare might rue missing those goal chances. Should have two in my book.

2 passages of play showed the difference between division 1 and 2 there, the Clare forward thought they had a lot more time so were looking at what they were going to do only to be dispossessed by the Mayo defender.

Yup, 2 clear goal chances, weaker teams have to take those chances

Mayo look like they were all out on the rip last night.

    Very lethargic.

Rochford walking a tight rope, terrible defending and shooting.

Hardly weak going by this. Just hope you have something left for the second half.

Its hard to work out whether Mayo are a division 1 or 2 team so far in this half

    Mayo are stone useless.

    Tempers optimism for Galway.

2 bottle of whiskey and a crate of beer, should be ok once it doesn't go to extra time :D

Is anyone else sick of Morrissey going on and on about what the players jobs are. He seems obsessed with Gardai and Primary school teachers.

It's his thing, give a bit of background on players or where they're from, better than just being a robot.

    Good match.
Clare should have got at least 1 goal though. And mayos fitness will probably win it for them in the second half

Think Galway knocked the stuffing out of them beating them two years in a row. Mayo put way more into that game than they're putting in to this.
Clare visibly tiring and I think that's all that will save mayo here.

Clare really should be 6/7 points up, would love to see them win this, but can only see Mayo grind out a undeserved victory.

Have to be happy goingbin at ht 2 points ahead but we should be more. Couple of big goal chances missed.

Mayos superior fitness started to tell as the half went on and we started to loose our shape and composure on the ball.

Hopefully we can hang on in the second half and be in with a chance to win in last 10 minutes

Really good match so far. Clare have been the better team and should be a little further in front.

Two points down very generous to Mayo.

Similar to the Kerry game so far, although Kerry were playing with 14 at this stage. Clare started the second half fast against Kerry then lost the plot after missing a gilt edged goal chance to go five up.

Mayo still slight favourites but they better hope there's some clean petrol found somewhere.

On a side note it's mind boggling to me that Jason Doherty is somehow judged not good enough to get into that forward line.

Clare have the wind, but they looked a little tired by the end of the half. May need a goal to get themselves over the line, they should have had at least one already there.

They have nothing to fear from this Mayo team. Mayo are sitting back, cagey, inviting Clare to run at them. They are there for the taking if Clare can take their chances.
