I've been on  Jobseeker Allowance in Dublin for 15 months until last January while getting few CompTIA certs trying to switch career to IT field. After tons of CV's sent with no replies and the last rent increase had no way to keep up with the JSA/savings so i decided to sign off and back few months to my home country.

I'm considering moving to Co.Clare where i can work in a restaurant. I've used to work for the same company in Dublin and knowing their policies i'm afraid to get a full time job because they're allowed to give me 21 hours per week and still consider it a full time job. Usually part time worker always get full 20 hours per week but full time workers hours range is 20 to 30.
Since i’m currently studying for another certification extra time would be beneficial.
I was reading about Part-time Job Incentive Scheme (PTJI) and it looks like i may qualify but i wonder if is problem the fact that i’ve signed JSA off 5 months ago.I wonder if they’re gonna ask me what i’ve done/been in the last 5 months and if it’s ok that i’ve been abroad.

    Thanks in advance

I don't think you will qualify for it as you need to be getting the job seekers payment at the time you take up the part time job.

"You can participate in the PTJI Scheme if you get part-time work for less than 24 hours per week and immediately before that you were:
•On long-term Jobseeker’s Allowance (JA) for at least 390 days (15 months). Days of unemployment on Jobseeker's Benefit (JB) count towards the 390 days if you were getting JB immediately before you got Jobseeker’s Allowance.
•Getting a weekly JA payment of at least €122.20 if you are single or €199.20 if you are getting an increase for a qualified adult."

If you are working 3 days or less you could still qualify for a reduced Job Seekers payment.
