If 1/2p does come in, it will be interesting to see who kicks.

If he comes in, I would imagine he kicks just as he did when they shared the field earlier in the tour. But I don't think he'll come in.

Hopefully Williams is fit. A couple of spilled up and unders aside (in terrible conditions), he has been good in the test series. I think his part in the Faletau try was fairly underrated. He took a slightly inaccurate pass without breaking stride and drew as much of the defence as possible before releasing Faletau. Simple things but I don't think Halfpenny would have executed well enough to ensure Faletau couldn't be caught by the corner flaggers.

I suppose the Q is whether halfpenny is worth a few bob...

Thomond doesn't suffer fools. You'll get no change out of him.

I see the whinging kiwis have been kept happy with an explanation why SOB received no further punishment.

Eminently sensible. Was a clear accident.

It's interesting that for all the talk we have on here of intent and whether it matters or not, it clearly is a factor in these hearings. It's noted that SOB doesn't cock his arm back or come in with a closed fist, which would be clear signals he was intending to smack Naholo. It's obviously easier for a citing panel to consider these things in their own good time compared to a ref who has seconds to make a call.

Yes, intent has always been a factor in disciplinary hearings. It's not taken into account on the field because the referee doesn't have the benefit of a hearing and evidence.

So, in conclusion, Naholo headbutted SOB's arm.

    Disgusting.

Typical Kiwis if you ask me. Are there no depths to which they won't stoop!?

Definitely worth more than a Beauden in the kicking stakes.

They generally won't stoop to below head height when making tackles, anyway

    Hansen has balls of steel.

Masterstroke or the work of an amateur?

Answer: Saturday morning (sometime between Saturday and Sunday if you have to watch delayed coverage :( )

Hansen is definitely either the greatest coach of all time or the worst coach of all time.

I'm happy with that team. Expecting Savea to have a stormer.

    Unparalleled winning record...but

    1) First coach to lose to Ireland
    2) 1994 Eden Park is a loooong time ago

No pressure now. He is as cool as a cucumber though. Me, myself, I, would feel more comfortable with Crotty at 12 and BFA at 15...

I do rate Barrett Jnr, but first test start...no prizes for guessing in which direction Conor Murray's first box kick will head.

Barret Jnr looks to the manor born, not sure if targeting him with high balls would be a good idea, last thing I'd be doing is giving him the ball in space.

No Henry, have only seen Barrett a hand full of times, but he looks quality at kicking

When was Gareth Davies called up?

He's one of the geography 6, though an actual deserving one who kind of got shafted along with Russell. Much happier seeing him on the bench than Laidlaw if injury is the reason Webb is missing.
