    Hi,
Getting a new washing machine this week, have an old in in already. From looking at the setup/back of machine & online it look straight forward to install. True, should be able to do it myself without any issues or better to be safe & pay the extra for installation?

I'm thinking I can do it (I'm not great handyman but this looks easy) but asking here in case it's trickier than it looks.
    Cheers,
    Pa

It's very straightforward, especially when replacing an existing machine. I have fitted all of ours over the years. Just follow the supplied instructions

And remember to remove the transit bolts ;)

Yeah it's a piece of cake usually.

If your machine is quite old, it's possible it has both hot and cold water intakes.

All current machines are cold-fill only, so I do recomment a blanking nut for the hot connection, as occasionally those little valves can leak a bit.

As mentioned, remove those transit bolts (and the plastic spacers that usually accompany them) Some machines have 3, some 4. Most seem to require a 10mm spanner.

F*uck. Installed washing machine into v tight fit (vertically tight), using feet to push it in. Put wash on, and noticed no water entering machine.....realised I never unlocked the cold pipe! Going to be hell trying to get the machine back out to turn unlock.

If it isn't too late..... check if there's a filter on the water feed and clean it or remove any grit if necessary.
