Has anyone recommendations of the best area(s) in Florida to go for a week in October/November for golf? Looking at perhaps an all in resort/possible golf school options/good decent courses within a short transfer of each other? Only started looking at this so haven't narrowed down specific requirements yet. Throwing it out there now to see if anyone has been there/done it. Any specific U.S golf websites to organise this through as a package deal or go via something like (www.floridagolf.com) ?

I'd recommend the Fort Lauderdale area. Been there and done that quite a few times.

The car is king but there are no long journeys. Lots of things to see and do away from the golf course too.

There's plenty of choice in Florida but take a look at Myrtle Beach as well. Dozens of courses and lots of hotel/golf packages and in quite a condensed area.

Kissimmee/Orlando, Orange County is there, plenty of practice/lessons and the #2 ranked public course in the US

Thanks all. Decided and booked South Carolina. Not Myrtle Beach but Hilton Head Island for the golf and then some city/culture action afterwards with a trip to Charleston and Savannah (Georgia)
