I've not been able the get this up and running for ages now, using Nova Launcher.

For Nova, there's instruction in the vid :)
Sorry about your man's voice, it wrecks my head :pac:

Nova instructions start at about 2:30 into the video

Can you get OnePlus official cables from other site's? My OP3 charging cable is a little frayed so will have to buy a new one to sell on this one on, didn't think about doing so when I ordered the 5. I've a few spare Orzly USB-C but not Dash charge.

Just set your system language to English US :)

Tried that a bunch of times also with a bunch of other video's, my 5 just arrived so let's see if that has it.

It certainly does, during initial setup, select English US as the language and it'll prompt you to set up the assistant on a further setup screen!

Ordered mine over a week ago and due to be delivered either on the 4th and was shipped from Belgium overnight so not sure if I will get it today?
Ordered some accessories and they are still in Poland not shipped yet and due on the 11th.
Was everyone's wait this long also?
On another note has anyone rooted theirs yet? I see there is a way over on XDA just wondering if anyone has done this. Like to get rid of adds etc

I'd advise anyone buying to pay for Express Shipping. Mine arrived in 39 hours of placing the order.

I got it working with the Nova launcher no problem. Just followed the video.

To activate it in Nova launcher just say "OK Google" or long press the home button.

Any tips on how to remove the pre-applied screen protector, damaged mine this morning walking into a door!

Would like to replace it with the tempered glass from the oneplus store.

It should be pretty easy to peel off

    It's just a sticker..
Unfortunately it sounds like you damage the actual phone :(

    I was fearing that!

I have what looks like a protector running around the perimeter of the phone, was hoping it could be simply removed and replaced

The plastic protector on mine has a scratch on it already and is peeling a bit on the top so I see myself taking it off soon :pac:

The OnePlus tempered glass protector - that's an actual piece of glass that sticks on top of the screen is it? Is it any good?

Mine isnt peeling but has a bit of a raised dent - is there a particular way to peel it off? Mine isnt cooperating/coming off easily!

The OnePlus website sells a dedicated tempered glass protector that is meant to be decent that goes straight onto the screen.

The general feedback on XDA is OnePlus's own one is a pos, but the Orzly one is getting some love.

This guy does good reviews of the Oneplus 5 cases and protectors
He recommends the Orzly as the official case cuts off some of the screen on the side

So if I get the glass protector, I should remove the plastic protector that came with it?

Not sure if they made a case for the 5 yet but I found the tudia case for the one plus was the best i got for any phone, dropped it countless times and no damage to the touch screen, ( one line going through the protective screen I got) have it 2 and a half years and that is the only damage

The Orzly ones are 50% off on amazon uk at the moment.

Got the black leather case and the clear gel bumper for €16 :)

    The seller is G-Hub

I bought an Orzly one for my Oneplus 3 - twas absolute rubbish.

I was reading something on my phone at my kitchen table and dropped my phone maybe an inch and a half and the edge of the protector went to mush and it cracked across the front.
I'll say this for them they're decent people and they replaced it without question. But again, the edges turned mushy in my pocket as there was a chapstick in my pocket with the phone.

So again they replaced it but the same thing happened again without any significant impact from me. They'd need to have improved A LOT before I could recommend them. Indeed I'm still looking for a decent recommendation from anyone on a good brand. I'm using a combination of cheap plastic protectors and a ring stand on the back of the phone-cover that at least helps ensure I don't drop it.

Ordered the Orzly one on Amazon. Hopefully the instructions tell me whether the plastic that came on the phone should be removed or not!

Seriously? The plastic of course should be removed. If not, 1. The glass protector wont stick properly. 2. Optical clarity will be ruined, 3. Touch sensitivity will be dodgy. Orzly won't mention this as its a given.
