Folks I weighted my heaviest lamb today. He is 42kgs a Suffolk cross. I am thinking of killing him for 2 reasons one that price might drop and secondly he is getting frisky with a couple of ewes. What dead weight would he come into?

I'd say about 49% kill out. Sent a few of ours off. The blue texel had a live weight of 38 kgs and killed out at 51%

Got 117 this week, they killed out 49.6% on full weight, better than I expected so half were over weight but still got 5.50 for every kg
    Average liveweight 43kg
