Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I sent a friend a present for his birthday and he said he didn't know the difference between the republic and Northern Ireland is there any really short book on how our Ireland is different to Northern Ireland?

Playing devil's advocate here, but are they really different? Especially to somebody who doesn't live in either place? e.g. Is Derry any different from Donegal? Or Cavan from Fermanagh, Dundalk from Newry? To someone who doesn't live here, (and maybe even to those who do) it might be like trying to explain the difference between Kansas and Missouri to an Irish person.
