I am going to look at a 2007 2.0L Mk4 Mondeo Zetec on Monday, 200k KM. Is there anything in particular I should look out for on these, thanks.

Just a small bump, I had a quick look at this last week and am seriously thinking about buying this. Its a 2007 MK4 2.0 Diesel 6 speed @ 235Km. Has a partial service history but most notable is missing the timing belt that was due at 200K (If I do buy I will have it done straight away for piece of mind) Overall the car is in very good condition, I was just looking for opinions engine itself, common problems things to look out for.

The other car I was looking at was a 2008 Mk4 Mondeo but with the 2.0 Petrol 5 speed @ 180km in GHIA spec. The fuel economy would not be the best but not much worse than my 2003 1.8 petrol mk 3 mondeo.

Up to now my mileage has only been around 10,000 miles per year but at the start of August I will be doing Limerick - Dublin (410km round trip)
five or six times a month on top of the 10k miles which has me leaning towards the diesel.

    My budget is about €3500.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
