Would guess UnderArmour and Nike would be showing some interest in McGregor now, would love to see Nike sign him.

Isn't he (and a handful of other UFC fighters) already on a special personalised deal with reebok, outside of the standard UFC sponsorship??

He was but the contract is up and he's free to discuss with different companies now for the Mayweather fight.

His Reebok deal lapsed. He can wear Nike/Underarmour/whatever he wants for this fight.
    Has that been confirmed anywhere?
I know Audie said that was the case on TMMAH. But that's not necessarily confirmation. I wouldn't rate him particularly reliable for the truth.

Is it though? if he wants to come back to mma hes in reebok by default.
In the octagon he is. But he's not obliged to sign with them. He could easily sign with UNder Armour or Nike privately.

Oh dear. One of the big US papers running a hit-piece on Conor, claiming white privilege and similarities to Trump. Calling him a bigot, singling out his "cockroaches" comment about the Diaz brothers (which, of course, was a Tony Montana quote).

JK is gonna love that :pac:

I'm actually a bit outraged myself.

The bit about the "cholos" we have debated on here but the "cockroach" argument is completely false. He was absolutely quoting Tony Montana, it's not in dispute, word for word:

More to the point, Conor advocated for same-sex marriage, LGBT rights etc, he has training partners and friends who are atheist, Christian, Muslim, black, white.

It's boggles my mind that anyone could argue he's a bigot or racist and the examples cited are weak.

    True.

Race-baiting is going to play a huge role in this camp it seems.

That's the guy who there was a big controversy over whether or not he was black or not. Started when he posted some medical report or something were a doctor ticked a box saying he was white and was furious about it. Maybe he is black, but he was going on and on about white privilege non stop at the time also.

Has he had anything to say about men hitting women? Bet not.

That article is a bit mad. It doesn't really have any message or meaning, just tries to point out something that isn't really there.

McGregor comments about the favelas were a bit much though. Imagine if an English fighter said something like this about an Irish fighter "if this was a different time I'd starve you and all your family to death by taking all your crops" or something ridiculous like that. No doubt there'd be uproar. Or if someone brought up slavery in a derogatory way against an African fighter. Or the holocaust to a Jewish fighter.

The author has skimmed off the top and not really looked at what it is.

Yeah McGregor has said some mad stuff and he's gotten away with it. He's gotten away with it cos it's that cliche, it's the fight game. The fight game where pretty much everything is fair game and where all fighters get away with it.

It's grand, Sean King is only listened to by extreme left-wingers. Everybody's wise to this game by now and they're intelligent enough to see through this half-hearted crap.

Not even at this stage, even the most fervent blm loonies are taking the piss out of him these days hes an absolute joke. If a white lad won a coin toss he'd write an article about how coins are a white supremacist conspiracy.

Im imagine the mural is relatively new.
Yellow mats would suggest SBG to me. Or the unit next door.

Adrien Broner says he wants Nate Diaz on the MayMac undercard.

Not gonna happen. Broner isn't with Mayweather Promotions and the UFC won't let Nate fight.

Won't be happening as he'll be suspended after getting destroyed by Mikey Garcia next month.

Stitch Duran: "It's up to Conor but I know both sports, I know Conor and I'm available to work his corner. Conor absolutely has a chance, I've worked his fights before and he's a tough, tough kid. He's capable of knocking anybody out."

Stitch would be a good choice I think.

Stitch was the first I thought of when Roddy said they didn't have a cut man. Would be great if he got the nod.

Would be cool to have an Irish cut person. We have some great men and women working cuts in corners up and down the country. Would nice nice if they got a nod if possible.
