weed licking and silage making

    I used mortone with the weed licker 2 weeks ago for rushes. problem now is lots of grass because stock have been kept out would it be OK to cut and bale the lot wasn't a huge amount of rushes

    Be fine, have done it in the past after locking with Gallup

    Have always licked using Gallop and never closed off the grazing fields from cattle. Not saying it's right but never had any problems. Is it a regulation?

    We always licked immediately after grazing so it wasn't an issue, less loss of grass that way.

    Would the weed licker do a good job on docks? have a lot of them in a few grazing paddocks. seems like a good time to do them after the cows have grazed out the paddock. any recommendations for a chemical for paddocks with lots of docks and a few nettles?

    No
    Docks need to be controlled when they are ~200mm tip to tip on leaves, spraying is the only option at that stage.

    Agree with Brian here spraying your only job to deal with Docks.
    Spot spray a couple paddocks near the house and the feckers still come back annually. never ending like the rushes 😀

    I dont see how spraying is the only option. ive been licking them as they grow here the last few weeks and i cant see why it wont work. its killing them anyway.
