Insurance on a 02' e46 M3?

Hi all,my brother is finding it hard to get insured on his 02' e46 M3
The company he's currently insured with wont swap over his existing policy (from a 06 1.9Tdi A4) due to the horsepower of the m3 they said.
One company said they would not insure the car as it is over 3 litre
And another said that the car was too old
He also tried to get a classic policy with Carole Nash,but was unsuccessful
He's 30,with a few years NCB,he has his full license with 8 years +

Just wondering has anyone insured the same car or similar and with what company? The car will only be used for the summer,more than likely

If you have a licence to drive a certain vehicle, your current insurer is obliged to offer terms. Remind them of that. Persevere.
