Just tried to buy and seems I can't do it via paypal, it's returning an error and saying return to the merchant and choose another way to pay:confused:

So I got a license for 4 devices. I couldn't pay via paypal so used my card. It's showing as around ?18, but that might jump to about ?20 after fees?

Seems it's the one license key for each device I'll use it on.

Set it up but is there any way to hide the notifications? I like to keep my android clutter free and I've now a:

    VPN is activated by adguard

    and also

    Adguard Filtering all internet connections

in the drop down menu, which is almost more annoying than ads :D

EDIT: Are these stats being made up? I've literally just installed it and not really used any aps at all and it's telling me it's blocked 164 ads?

They have been accused before of having crazily high stats blocking, but the number actually comes from the amount of snooping/adverts that are taking advantage of your browsing. It is all documentd much better than i can say it, in their forums linked above. You can get a breakdown of everything that it has actually blocked.
Many of your intrusions are probably down to everyday apps/games that you have previously installed and given permission to.
In Android Marshmallow at least, you can block all notifications per-app. Go to Settings -> Sound & Notifications -> App Notifications, choose the app, and then select "Block All". This works great for apps like Adguard which seem to require a persistent notification.
From here (I did not look further, and may have got a more detailed answer if i did)

Very suspicious of this. Within a few hours its shown 531 ads blocked. Within seconds of installing it had blocked 3 ads?? I did have a browser window minimised at the time but would be surprised if ads are being blocked when the browser is not in use?

While it is called adguard, it is actually a web filter.
What you and i perceive to be ads is only about 1/4 of what actually are. They have addressed this in their forums many times.
It is somewhat explained here, but you do need to go into their forums a little bit more to get the full picture.

Googled for about 20 minutes trying to remove the notification bar for the VPN and it doesn't seem possible ;( It's an android thing apparantly, not adguard, but the fact adguard uses VPN means it is always displaying :(

I am not sure what you are seeing, i am using a moto G, have a Xiaomi redmi note 2 also running it, but i do not see those notifications. Is it a setting? (Xiaomi not really reliable as it is not mine and i only saw it twice since installation).

Re: Whatsapp, go to social media settings.
It may be a bit over protective for some, but it allows you to turn off those settings.

Bought it. Doesn't seem to block YouTube ads. That's one of the reasons I bought it. Everytime my daughter is on YouTube I end with a few new apps installed.

I have a feeling this might be related to this app, I'm having issues that when I play back audio, it goes silent after a few seconds. If I close the app playing the audio (whether it be music or a what's app message), then it plays again but will stop again after a few seconds. Very annoying and not sure what's causing it ;(

It sounds similar to this - https://forum.adguard.com/index.php?threads/espn-radio-stops-playing.19608/
I used that forum for an issue i had on an older phone (android 4.4) and they were quick to reply.

I don't know really. It's happening to me in What's app voice messages and in VLC music player. It just randomly goes quiet after a few seconds, but sometimes it plays the whole thing and there's no issues at all.

Also, adguard doesn't appear to be running and it says protection disabled when I open it as and the VPN thing isn't there either. Would there be anything else I should check associated that might be blocking it I wonder?

Uninstall it completely, and try reinstalling it? Also, while uninstalled check if you have the same issue before reinstalling it.

Just got this for a fiver so the offer is still semi going. Thanks OP. The adds on mobile sites are have gone to the dogs lately, those ones you have to scroll through are particularly annoying.

It should still be 174 Rubles (€2.69) for a lifetime licence. I just checked it there - https://m.adguard.com/en/purchase.html?currencyId=1&promoCode=RETAILMENOTCOUPON#1/36500/MOBILE
