Silph road reports x5 xp for egg hatch which is amazing. Throw a lucky in there and you have xp overload. Finally a good reason to invest in mass incubators.

I hatched a 10k this afternoon. Bleeding Aerodactyl. If I'd known I'd have got 5,000 XP I'd have kept the game closed :D

Same here, except it was a Pineco. Was only about an hour before the event started too :(

Caught three Cyndaquils near my house this evening. Also bought three lucky eggs, did an evolve, levelled up to 32 and got some useful balls.

Still in my gyms though. Anyone know when chucking out time is?

The hype had got to me, I'm heading into the town for an hour. Lucky egg and lapras are the goals.

been around for months.....just cause they spent a weekend in Longford.....gee your right, who in their right mind would go to Longford. :p

in fairness kick them out (which i've just done in Virginia) and then see if they are back tonight in both Virginia and Longford...then we'll know!
And they are back in both.

Not sure if its just the first hour of the event striking again, but seem to be a lot of cyndaquils around, after getting over 60candies there in a quick run around.

Same here... Fecked them out once again as part of my 2km walk.

Not much on my path to get excited about. A single spawn point between home and a pokestop....two spawns at the stop......6 around the gym....
Anyways since I was ready to hatch 3 eggs, I but on a lucky egg and did a mass evolution on way home....the eggs (2 5km and a 2km) were decent.
Important information is Markymark, and Cabbagehead are spoofers. Interesting to see happens to them after gym reworking.

Well that was rubbish. nothing of interest in Dun Laoghaire apart from 2 Dratini.
even my 10km egg sucked (gilgar).

So much for the first hour being awesome.

See above for my earlier report....wrote when I got home.....feckers are back in less the 30 minutes

Was out for a walk in my local park at 21:00 tonight - hoping the three gyms there might be cleared out for me :)

Ah well, was worth a shot.

Reported both of them again anyway, so hopefully Niantic will do something.

Anyway, gonna take the train up to Dublin tomorrow to get a bit of walking and stuff done, hopefully I'll be able to get some decent stuff up there. Have 4 eggs (two 5km, one 2km, one 10km) in incubators, so maybe I'll be lucky and get some 10km eggs too :D I'd be happy with not getting complete garbage from the eggs though :pac:

Just back now. No Lapras, but lots of cyndaquils as above and a varied mix of fire/ice mons. I lured up a couple of stops and reckon I am up 40k/45k in the space of a lucky egg half hour. Throws like the below were rare, but made for insane XP.

So far at my house I've gotten Venonat, Hoothoot, Rattata, and Sentret. Guess the event hasn't hit the middle of nowhere yet :pac:

went all out this evening once event started , 11km walk around Cork city/UCC with lucky eggs , 90 catches , 100 pokestops ,egg hatches , which resulted in 100k XP , enough candy for Typhlosion evolution and FINALLY hatched Mareep ,which also had 23 candies so straight onto walking buddy for quick evolution , prob busiest evening ever on PoGo

I'm out in the countryside, so only one thing shows up every 20-30 minutes, so I wasn't really expecting to see much to be fair. I can't remember seeing any rock types out here during the last event for example.

Any event related promo codes yet?

I've caught the odd growlithe, vulpix this morning and seen on the radar (but not found) charmander and the starter from gen2 that kindof looks like a cross between a badger and a mole.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,331 ✭✭✭AMGer

Positive start to the event here - Charmander and Cyndaquil all over the Nearby list - even had four Cyndaquil at once at one stage. Good few Houndour aswell, something I've never seen in Waterford before.

I read that when the gyms are cleared they are likely to be down for a day or two to release the new battling system
