Thee two were very evil and killed at least 3 innocent people in the first half hour of this film. Definitely among the most evil henchmen.

Max Zorin - he had the right amount of psychotic/sociopathic tendencies mixed with charm.

He was like a negative Roger Moore - perfect for this film.

Zorin was a great villain. I think that back then, Bond villains were thought out much better than they are today. In the modern films, the villains are more pathetic losers with chips on their shoulders than evil masterminds. Dominic Greene then is a sort of a poor man's Max Zorin or Elliot Carver. He is not a patch on those 2.

Agreed, the recent bond films are just **** imo.

While I enjoyed them, the recent Bond films have a lot of flaws that critics don't address. Skyfall is seen by most critics as one of the top 4 Bond films ever made. I like it but know a lot of people who don't like it at all. I'd rate it highly but recognise it has some faults: it is a slow burner and not a lot happens for around 40 minutes after the pre-title. The villain is someone you feel sorry for which is not what it is meant to be about. Skyfall was to me enjoyable when it got going, but was a slow burner and draggy in places before it got going and the villain was flawed.

SPECTRE had much more flaws. It was like an All Ireland or World Cup game that started off great in the first half and then took it easy in the second half. The reincarnation of Blofeld was poor and there was not much in the way of invention here. There was a deliberate sort of Skyfall influenced theme in it and Blofeld was yet another derivative ex friend of Bond gone bad type. The set pieces in Northwest Africa and London were below par for a Bond film and the worst climax in years.

The Skyfall/SPECTRE type of Bond probably has had its day and it is time for something new. A film like Goldeneye would be nice to see. That type of Bond film had the right blend of seriousness and fun that seemed to work very well. Plus you could see the enthusiasm there too. SPECTRE on the other hand seemed to only have negativity and Daniel Craig did not want to be there even. Contrast that with Goldeneye and Casino Royale: 2 very different but equally good films where everyone was enthusiastic about what they were doing.
