Apparition due at Knock shrine - 3pm today (Sunday 11th June)

    Over 2,000 people turned up at Knock shrine in anticipation of an apparition, after a teenage boy claimed there would be one there this afternoon.

    The boy claims to have seen a vision of Our Lady in Fatima last month and said she told him she would appear to him again at Knock, at 3pm today.

    Local gardaí put a traffic management plan in place, in the event that large crowds would travel to the shrine.

    Anyone who turns up for this ought to be photographed, fingerprinted and have their right to Vote removed. It's a handy way of gathering the mildly touched into one place so they can be identified and their opinions ignored in the future.

    I dunno, it could be run as a semi-annual event to weed out the feeble minded, a bit like the Cops in the US texting on-the-run felons that they've won the Lottery and can they come in to collect their winnings. Some sort of gentle tagging system could be put in place so that people can go "Ohh, you went to Knock?" Maybe issue medals and tell them they have to wear them every day or they will get bad luck?

    The media should take blame for this nonsense.

    13year old traveller spins a yarn and the complete eejits that say they are journalists spew this sh1te out on their respective media - including the Irish times who should know better than spouting such rubbish.
