Operations and maintenance manual for painter.

Hi.

I'm am currently working on painting project and have been asked to provide an operations and maintenance manual.
Can anyone please tell me what this is?
I tried to find a template on the internet specific to painters but couldn't find anything.

This is basically Putting together a pack of info for the clients maintenance people. It's common practice on big jobs.

If your being asked for an O&M manual - did you get a room schedule or architects specification and/or something indicating where each colour is used? This forms the basis of the manual. if you are expected to this yourself, get the building plans and mark the colours etc for each room

Then add:
Technical data sheets for
1. each paint (water & oil based & primers),
2. builders caulk & filler used
3. Anything else you've installed
(google will provide or your local rep/ paint shop may help with warranties & CE certs*)

The idea of an O&M manual is to provide a document that the client can figure out what requires maintainence/servicing without the need to ring you..

You know whoever is asking for this should really be advising you what is required to be included or providing a template!

* all materials should be CE certified or the manufacture should provide a letter of exemption (due to a lack of HEN standards, but still compliant with appropriate EN standards)
